【TSUMUGI】： I hardly expected to have you contacting me, so I was startled.

【TSUMUGI】： It seems that Riku-san is extremely nervous.

Couldn't I possibly have you exchange mail addresses with Riku-san?
【TENN】： Why.
【TSUMUGI】： I think that it'd be definitely better for you to speak to him directly....
In addition, Riku-san would be overjoyed.
【TENN】： That's a way of thinking typical of you.
【TSUMUGI】： Are my thoughts naive?
【TENN】： They're saccharine.

1. *opens an eoy chat to translate* *remembers why I don't do that anymore*
the first chapter titles for each character are direct quotes of one of their leopard eyes/memories melodies lines and in this case trg gets the consecutive bridge of たとえひと時だけの／試された感情偽りとしても／その目を信じて [insert trg running into the screen here] and
uh
that is not a verse that is very easy to split by their lines in english while still retaining its overall meaning since it looks more like "even if those tested feelings from just one time are thought of as a lie, uh, believe in those eyes over there [eye emoji]", but 'tested feelings' is from gaku's line (#2) whereas 'from just one time' is from ten's line (#1) so
So
it doesn't work!!!!! eats an entire potato
2. 'naive' & 'sweet' are basically synonyms in japanese; they're both written 甘い, hence why tsumugi asks if her thoughts are naive and ten makes a winnie the pooh joke, but that doesn't translate as smoothly in english and having tsumugi say "are my thoughts too sweet" makes it sound less like they agree she's naive and more like they agree she's? nice? I guess? idk you don't rly use sweet in that context in english I think
