1. regarding the title, 'dungeon' is written in katakanaglish so I think that we're meant to infer tamaki doesn't actually know what the word "dungeon" means in japanese, but I was too lazy to look up some sort of english equivalent so now it just looks like tamaki has never heard of d&d
2. I'm still exhausted but oh my god the amount of thought sougo put into planning tamaki's birthday has me so emotional evEN IF HIS S SIDE IS SERIOUSLY SHOWING but it's just like!! okay so not only did he somehow manage to throw tamaki off of his trail by pretending it was going to be a boring Not Tamaki Styled birthday party (or he figured out at the last minute Wait Maybe I Should Do Something More Fun and they're claiming the grad party was a front, but I am going to say that I think sougo actually planned to go all out from the beginning), but the actual party was!! so specifically lined up with what it was tamaki would have enjoyed (snacks and games and tangible rewards), and obviously something that was going to take a lot of planning and devotion (they rented out a frickin' studio and did all of the monster makeup and stuff), all for the sake of making it a fun experience for tamaki
NOT ONLY THAT BUT sougo also put his own hopes for tamaki into the setting by incorporating quizzes into the games, but he did it in a way that made them fun for tamaki, AND he also was really specific (or tried to be) about making sure they were all monsters and not ghosts (since tamaki is terrified of ghosts), but at the same time I want to think that it's almost like sougo's trying to encourage tamaki to face his fears? using monsters as kind of like the baby steps
also he had!!! i7 members doing all of the actual game hosting and stuff!!!! since they rented out a studio and everything they could have gotten actors to play the monsters and gone even bigger but instead they kept it in the family and had only the people tamaki was honestly close to involved, which reminds me of how even though it was really cute that he made the bowling lanes during mitsuki's birthday party, it kind of had... like, a lonely feeling? like tamaki didn't have anyone to play with even though like probably a couple dozen people came out for mitsuki's birthday party, so he took the empty plastic bottles everyone else had discarded and lined them uP and even though it's such an adorable image it's so sad sO JUST
KEEPING IT ON A LEVEL THAT TAMAKI COULD BE ENGAGED IS!!!!! SO IMPORTANT!!!!

I'm kinda sad we didn't get to find out what sort of monsters riku and iori were meant to be, (or sougo unless his concept was just "pale") but I'm guessing riku probably wasn't a very scary one if tamaki managed to take him hostage

1. regarding the title, 'dungeon' is written in katakanaglish so I think that we're meant to infer tamaki doesn't actually know what the word "dungeon" means in japanese, but I was too lazy to look up some sort of english equivalent so now it just looks like tamaki has never heard of d&d
2. I'm still exhausted but oh my god the amount of thought sougo put into planning tamaki's birthday has me so emotional evEN IF HIS S SIDE IS SERIOUSLY SHOWING but it's just like!! okay so not only did he somehow manage to throw tamaki off of his trail by pretending it was going to be a boring Not Tamaki Styled birthday party (or he figured out at the last minute Wait Maybe I Should Do Something More Fun and they're claiming the grad party was a front, but I am going to say that I think sougo actually planned to go all out from the beginning), but the actual party was!! so specifically lined up with what it was tamaki would have enjoyed (snacks and games and tangible rewards), and obviously something that was going to take a lot of planning and devotion (they rented out a frickin' studio and did all of the monster makeup and stuff), all for the sake of making it a fun experience for tamaki
NOT ONLY THAT BUT sougo also put his own hopes for tamaki into the setting by incorporating quizzes into the games, but he did it in a way that made them fun for tamaki, AND he also was really specific (or tried to be) about making sure they were all monsters and not ghosts (since tamaki is terrified of ghosts), but at the same time I want to think that it's almost like sougo's trying to encourage tamaki to face his fears? using monsters as kind of like the baby steps
also he had!!! i7 members doing all of the actual game hosting and stuff!!!! since they rented out a studio and everything they could have gotten actors to play the monsters and gone even bigger but instead they kept it in the family and had only the people tamaki was honestly close to involved, which reminds me of how even though it was really cute that he made the bowling lanes during mitsuki's birthday party, it kind of had... like, a lonely feeling? like tamaki didn't have anyone to play with even though like probably a couple dozen people came out for mitsuki's birthday party, so he took the empty plastic bottles everyone else had discarded and lined them uP and even though it's such an adorable image it's so sad sO JUST
KEEPING IT ON A LEVEL THAT TAMAKI COULD BE ENGAGED IS!!!!! SO IMPORTANT!!!!

I'm kinda sad we didn't get to find out what sort of monsters riku and iori were meant to be, (or sougo unless his concept was just "pale") but I'm guessing riku probably wasn't a very scary one if tamaki managed to take him hostage
