【TSUMUGI】： Mitsuki-san, thank you for all of your hard work!
This is regarding the costume design for the new song, but have you had a chance to see it?
【MITSUKI】： I saw, I saw!
Pirates are so great!!
【TSUMUGI】： I'm glad that you're so pleased.
This time, I've also received a variety of advice from Iori-san...!
【MITSUKI】： Ah—. So that's why that guy was borrowing pirate anime DVDs and other stuff from Nagi.
【MITSUKI】： Nagi was so overjoyed, he said "We'll have an anime sleepover!", and so he nearly got dragged into his room.
【MITSUKI】： Well, when that happens for some reason, he'll come to me, though.
【MITSUKI】： But, pirates are great—! I admired them when I was a kid!
The costumes and the song and the dance, I'm super looking forward to them all!
【MITSUKI】：
【TSUMUGI】： Thank you very much......!
Having you say that, Mitsuki-san, truly makes me feel reassured.
【TSUMUGI】： Truthfully, at the start, I didn't have that much confidence.
The release period was fairly separated from the summer, and I thought the reason for settling on the pirate motif might be a bit weak, too.......
【TSUMUGI】： But, after I conferred with Iori-san, it became a conversation about how the only way to convey everyone's charms without leaving out a single aspect was this!, so...!
【MITSUKI】： Yup, yup.
I'm sure that guy started moving because of your wholeheartedness, manager.
【MITSUKI】： One way or another, I think he's really passionate about supporting you. I've gotta make sure I don't lose to him!
【MITSUKI】： So that I can match up to your expectations, I'll do my best as a part of this group of pirates!
【TSUMUGI】： Yes! I'm also so greatly looking forward to the completion, that I can hardly wait!

【MITSUKI】： By the way I thought I'd ask, but was the one who decided on my costume Iori?
【TSUMUGI】： It was decided by both myself and Iori-san!
【MITSUKI】： And the eyepatch?
【TSUMUGI】： With regards to that, Iori-san had said "Do it like this",
And had offered it at the meeting.
【TSUMUGI】： I thought he must have had some sort of a hangup about it, but has something happened...?
【MITSUKI】： I knew it!!
【TSUMUGI】： Can you think of anything?
【MITSUKI】： When we were kids, there was a time when I got a sty.
I got an eye bandage at the hospital, but somehow the tension went way up!
【MITSUKI】： So I dragged out one of our mom's scarves, and wrapped it around Iori's waist, and so until I got better, for a while the 2 of us were playing pretend pirates—!!
【MITSUKI】： We got scolded pretty badly afterwards, though. . .
【TSUMUGI】： So you had that sort of memory, then.
Iori-san must have also remembered that, and so that's why he decided on it, then...!
【TSUMUGI】： The two of you, I'm sure that you must have been incredibly adorable pirates.
【MITSUKI】： About that—. I can't believe that guy remembered something from so long ago!
Somehow, I feel satisfied.
【TSUMUGI】： After hearing about that sort of secret episode
I've become even more and more excited about this......!
【TSUMUGI】： The song will be coming soon as well, so I'll be in your care for quite some time!
【MITSUKI】： Same goes for here!

3. "合宿" literally translates to "training camp" or something but I thought sleepover sounded cuter so here we are
4. I hate passive form so much I am in tears
5. there are lots of pronouns and lots of that is bc I don't like dealing w/ passive form, but the general impression I'm getting is that iori declined nagi's Anime Sleepover, and so nagi went to mitsuki as his anime sleepover backup buddy

not only are they the commoner-class idols, they're.... criminal-class idols?? iori pls
8. every time I see 一生懸命 I wince and then I forget to explain why I'm wincing buT I HAVE FIFTEEN MINUTES TO GET THRU THE REST OF THIS CHAT, SO, ANOTHER DAY

please know that the minute mitsuki was like "did iori pick my costume" I came up with ^ that, and then two lines later after tsumugi says "it was both of us" mitsuki is literally like "AND THE EYEPATCH....??"
god bless the izumi kyoudai wish-granters of my poor shriveled heart (jk, it's less the rabbit eyepatch and more the izumi bros. memories that are making me CRy)
