1. so first we have yamato's powers of observation (his first indoor fes chat) and now we have yamato's observing eye
what is next, yamato's observational foot?
2. yamato opens this chat by calling tsumugi 'tsumugi-manager' again and I swear we're going to have yamato calling her by just her first name consistently by the time the next set of rabbit chats come out Mark My Words
3. sometimes I forget that when tsumugi uses でしょう she's not actually casting doubt or trying to speculate as per the Literal Meaning of deshou, she's just being polite, but then I remember that being polite in japanese = casting doubt and/or trying to speculate by using でしょう instead of ですか
4. the alternate title of the joker flag chats is "everyone is concerned about riku's hat" (BE CONCERNED ABOUT TAMAKI'S HAT???), idk if I've ever mentioned this, but they apparently PERFORM JOKER FLAG WEARING THESE PIRATE COSTUMES?????? WHICH IS, LIKE, first of all crushing my dreams of sougo's boots having a high heel (jk they wear high heels for memories melodies my dream is alive), second of all, WHY WOULD YOU LET NAGI DANCE W/ A HOOK FOR A HAND LIKE I RLY HOPE HE MAINTAINS HIS PLACING
it's a mess and I love it
5. yamato says?? something about 意地/willpower?? and I'm not sure what the proper translation is but the general implication I get is that he's commenting on riku's tendency to push himself (I.E. SING FOR THREE HOURS IN A TYPHOON) so I tried to make the first line fit that context!
6. this chat was emotional but then tsumugi called yamato an onii-chan and I almost coughed up my lunch
7. yamato: refers to himself as onii-san constantly
tsumugi: refers to him as onii-chan once
yamato: UH, HOLD THE PHONE
8. in the first dialogue path, tsumugi says that it is sasuga of yamato and That's It, so I took a few liberties based off of how yamato replied w/ how I decided to translate tsumugi's end of it!
9. I am too tired 2 talk about the character significance of this chat (it took me three tries to spell 'significance' correctly) but *gestures vaguely* onii-chan has got it going on
also tbh riku's not the only one, I think all of the characters are differing (but high) levels of very fond of their joker flag costumes since tsumugi & iori worked so hard at coming up w/ stuff they thought represented them, riku is just the personification of a golden retriever who Loves The Thing That Is Done For Him
but basically what yamato's trying to say is yo these costumes are really important to these kids so if you change them suddenly it's like Crushing Their Dreams
10. yamato's card is only @ like level 30 so it'll probs be a while before I unlock his fifth chapter! *looks @ the title* "a night spent with yamato and banri"
