1. what I am learning from this exercise is that my d8 has a preference for 2 & 7................
2. forget putting "otsukaresama" on my gravestone (as hilariously contextually appropriate as that would be). please put a って on my gravestone so that everyone can know that I died as I lived, suffering at the behest of quoting particles in japanese
3. riku talking about saying s/t tsumugi didn't want to hear and iori always getting on his case (how whipped is this boy I ask as I gaze at my ceiling), I don't remember which part of the story it's in, but iori's pretty consistently warning riku to speak more like an idol and less like a three year old in a candy shop
I'm pretty sure there was a specific instance in the story where on a talk show or something (maybe it was the web program?), there was a question and riku's answer was "I like everything!! next question!" and iori was like Do You Know What A Detail Is Or How To Go Into One
so in this case riku's trying to come up with a better answer to the question of "what do you like about joker flag" than "everything!"
now that I think about it, I think the instance I'm remembering might have been in one of those bonus magazine interviews? like in a girl's style or s/t......
4. meanwhile I am sitting here on the edge of my seat whispering "if you tell me which parts you like (i.e. who is harmonising with who) maybe it will help me with the part divisions in joker flag)"
I still remember reading riku saying somewhere in an interview "I like the part where I harmonise with nagi and tamaki!" and I was like wow! this would be monster generation! except! it's not! so what song is it!!
5. please stop using the word ooze (にじみ出る) to refer to singing voices, riku
6. riku keeps splitting his lines and putting line breaks in weird questions and I'm not sure if it's intentional or what since it's not like they're falling after kanji (which would make me think maybe it's a typo)
but I'm trying to fit them into the translations anyways
7. at the end of the chat riku says 'もっともっと' (x2), and tsumugi answers back with 'もっともっともっと' (x3), so I made the translation a bit awkward by using "more" to mean roughly the same thing! the point is that tsumugi is upping the ante basically? idk
8. I actually have riku's joker flag card at lvl 53 (I didn't have any other cards to feed my beat puddings to.....), if I'd actually been playing over the past few days I probably would have gotten him to 55 by now but either way why do I keep getting riku's event cards to 55 first.............. (I also translated riku's 5th halloween chapter first but that was Not By My Effort so)
I mean it makes sense because the ioriku event has come first in both cases but it's still like whoa riku is lvl 53 and all of my other event cards are gasping for breath at like lvl 12 LOL
9. I'm not sure I'm translating tsumugi's line in the first dialogue path 100% accurately (she says it's ざっくり) — but the general impression I'm getting is that she's saying riku's being a bit too hasty/not thorough enough/maybe not thinking it through fully in his verdict on joker flag being "I LIKE IT ALL!!!!", and riku's like oh shucks manager
ironically tho if anything it seems that he is thinking Too Hard and being Too Thorough
