Somehow, there's a bit of a gap, and I felt just now like this could become a big topic! LOL

【RIKU】： Nagi talks about it sometimes. In Magi★Cona, it sounds like there are characters like that.
Earlier, he started monologuing really passionately, too....

1. the only downside to deciding which chat I'm going to translate randomly is that I have to keep switching accounts and struggling 2 remember which account has which chats unlocked LOL
2. I took Many Liberties with tsumugi's line about the cuteness because originally she uses "kawaii" and "kyuuto" (so she says "not the cute sort of kawaii" and I'm like what do I do with this), so I translated 'kawaii' as cute and 'kyuuto' as sugary to convey a similar meaning!
cool-and-cute was かっこかわいい (contrasted w/ かっこいい)!
3. OH MY GOD I just remembered why I put off joker flag on my mental to-do list for so long it's because of the frickin play on words regarding riku's name
mostly I'm just sooooooooooo squinting @ this, I've been squinting at the names riku and ten (land and sky) ever since I realised arina designed the characters, because of her cats being named riku and kai (land and sea) (and I Swear she said it was a kingdom hearts reference so I'm like 10x even more done w/ riku and ten's names because of that like thank god we don't have kujou sora)
so seeing kai is like Why Is This Happening To Me
okay tl;dr riku (陸) lit. means "land" or earth/shore, so tsumugi's saying it's ironic for a man named Ground to be playing an ocean-dwelling pirate, so riku's like "should I change my name to ocean?? maybe seashell???" since those are clearly much more pirate-y (ocean-y) names, but the cinch here is that ocean and seashell can be read as homophones (or they can also be not read as homophons and riku could be rping classic love live umi sonoda) (jk her name's written differently), so it'd be weird for me to write "should I change my name to kai? or kai?", so I left the kanji in japanese so that at least we can all be confused together
honestly I think they're both supposed to be read as 'kai' tho bc that makes for a better story than reading them differently, and if anything I think riku listed the second kai to make it clear that he meant the first one as kai, too!
also it's the same way arina writes the name of her cat so
4. I totally feel like riku and tsumugi talking about gap moe is either a thinly veiled arina cat reference or a thinly veiled kingdom hearts reference but either way I Want Off Of This Train
