1. chronology-wise it looks like these chats take place prior to tamaki's chats! most of tamaki's chats seem to take place staggered slightly after iori's so this one is probably immediately after tamaki's 2nd chapter? hence why iori being asleep and the 15 minute break are referenced!
2. my eyes are still kind of spinning from counting tamaki's —s but I owe y'all a tl;dr rant on WHY TAMAKI AND IORI'S DYNAMIC IS THE #1 IMPORTANT SO I WILL do my best.....
3. tsumugi refers to tamaki as yotsuba-san at the start of this chat in japanese, my guess is it's a typo but I've left it as-is just in case!
4. tamaki spells the title of miss you... in katakana so I left it unstylised to reflect that! more importantly I think my heart skipped a beat when I realised tamaki was humming a mezzo song (it's group love)
but more importantly where is my rewriting of miss you so that it's about homework and supplementary lessons instead of unrequited love
5. as for why iori got mad about tamaki humming miss you idk this is just my personal interpretation but seeing as it's canon confirmed that iori has been brooding about making a mistake at mufest up until black or white, I wouldn't be surprised if he's taking offense at tamaki humming the same song that he messed up on, especially since iori izumi's patience is at an all time low in these chats (bad things keep happening to him, the poor kid....)
idk I think about it a lot but iori's ability to compartmentalise is pretty incredible considering how he went out of his way to research stuff for mezzo (and yet at the same time I think about how iori managed to pick a public image for mezzo that went directly contrary to their offstage dynamic, like, was that on purpose)
6. my guess as to what tamaki means by getting serious bc iori didn't care for it is that he started full-on singing miss you @ iori instead of just humming it???? idk how that translates to "I am singing for iorin no tame ni" but my guess is that tamaki thinks he is somehow benefiting iori's mood by singing miss you at him
which is equal parts endearing and probably completely off the mark but tamaki yotsuba is such a good kid
7. the mental image of these children singing their songs a cappella and/or impromptuly will get me through the night
8. when iori says the soup was cruel my guess is that he's saying that nagi and tamaki completely blew the cooking aspect and seasoned it terribly because they were too busy dancing and singing to focus on making the soup edible?
9. tsumugi stop trying to plan a stakeout on the idols u manage
10. iori's response in the second dialogue path being "sure if you're his FAN" makes tamaki saying "iorin was my fan but he was tricking me" in his 5th chat make a lot more sense in context!
11. I saw spoilers about riku coaxing iori into singing along to fly away in the kitchen with him on twitter but that didn't stop me from choking when I read it for real in this rabbit chat
more importantly tho iori nobody asked you if mitsuki or riku sang idolish7 songs in fact I would say that was an entIRELY DIFFERENT QUESTION OF TSUMUGI'S
