【NAGI】： A certain query has arisen, and so in order to resolve it, I intend on re-viewing my Magical★Cocona DVDs.

【NAGI】： For the protagonist, Cocona, a spotlight is shone upon her minute details and so she is portrayed in a thorough light, but regarding Cocona's friend and enemy characters, it is fragmentary.
【TSUMUGI】： It certainly feels that way to be the hero or heroine, yes!
【NAGI】： While I, too, was lacking in careful attention towards that side, in a review made by someone, things such as "Perhaps Cocona's friend is actually on the enemy side" "Perhaps that truth will be made clear in Season 2" have been written.
【TSUMUGI】： Eh!? That gentle-seeming kid is!?
【NAGI】： That is correct! In the instant I laid eyes upon that review, a vehement shock ran through my chest!
【NAGI】： Work was immediately waiting for me and so I could not confirm it at the time, but it has constantly felt as if my heart has been boiling ever since.
【TSUMUGI】： So during last night's live broadcast, the fact that you were singing with a serious expression on a much higher level of beauty, was because of that, then!
【NAGI】： I will watch again and confirm the truth. I imagine I will be gripping the edge off my seat in suspense.

【NAGI】： I enjoy being off, but it has the fatal weakness of not being able to see your face, Tsumugi.

2. I am exactly two (2) lines into this chat and already I am pursing my lips at just how to translate nagi rokuya, mostly because "on my days off I am yours alone" says the man whose hands are full of majikona merch in his day off card
THE STRANGEST THING ABOUT HIS DAY OFF CARD TO ME IS THAT HE'S??? KNEELING???? WHILE WATCHING KOKONA???? BUT STICKING HIS BUTT OUT???? ?? ? ??? is this the anime viewing stance of a true fan
please, if you do only one thing today, make it "attempt to imitate nagi rokuya's day off card pose"
3. nagi's line about being tsumugi's alone is a mess to translate literally but the basic thing he's saying is that when he is an idol, he is everyone's nagi, but when he is on vacation (and so not an idol), he is only tsumugi's

I've been romanising まじかる★ここな as "magical★cocona" this entire time but I don't think I ever said why I decided on that romanisation? basically since "magical" is written out in hiragana (but spelled "majikaru" — so the 'c' in magical is actually being written as a 'k') (as opposed to if it'd been written in katakana to imply that it's a foreign word) (altho tbh it's probably written in hiragana to illustrate that it is intended for children), I decided to change the 'k's in "kokona" to 'c's to match with "magical"!
at first it was weird but tbh now I can't imagine spelling cocona with two k's. two c's just looks nicer
5. anyone who has been following my translation notes (pours one out for everyone who has put up with my ramblings) can probably tell that I am not actually that good at japanese, I just infer meanings left and right and hope for the best, and so let me tell you, trying to translate nagi talking about majikona with 0 context to infer off of is Incredibly Difficult LOL

7. I can't believe 手に汗を握る is a phrase in japanese that looks like it should mean 'clench one's fists in perspiration' or something but instead it means to sit on the edge of ones seat and next off I can't believe nagi mis-wrote the phrase and so tsumugi had to correct him so now I have to figure out how to mis-write it in english and then how to have tsumugi correct him
8. I'm reading nagi's and riku's chats blind so idk what the chronology is but what I do know is that I have been burning with the knowledge that riku asked if wearing his fly away! fedora/unit costume would be good enough because he thought he had to dress fancy for the nabe party because tsumugi would be there ever since I started reading mitsuki's chats
I have been dying
