2. really I should put this note on sougo's 4th chapter but I was terrified when yamato's face appeared in sougo's rabbit chat because at first I thought it was a horrifying glitch LOL
that, and I was probably still traumatised from sougo's halloween chats.....
3. I spent an embarrassingly long time puzzling over ビビッド before I realised it was 'vivid'
4. I almost feel kind of bad for sougo because tsumugi kind of played the devil's advocate by telling him yamato would want to eat spicy food but I'm also kind of like sougo your naturally oblivious airhead is showing
5. yamato nikaidou's day off schedule to me looks kind of like he keeps doing things twice. waking up and going back to sleep twice. taking a bath twice. wtf
6. the full meaning of yamato saying that spiciness has the same meaning as pain is a bit lost in english because in japanese the word for spicy (辛い) is also the word for "painful"/difficult/etc. (辛い) — yamato says that it's the same as 痛い, tho!
7. on a marginally related note I think part of why yamato's complaining so much actually has to do with him getting drunk? since he's been drinking more because of the spiciness, I think his attitude's slipping into his drunken one tbh..... which could also have to do with why sougo confiscated the food?
idk reading this yamato's tone sounds a lot like his split second slip in the secnai 2nd cd chapter where he starts whining "what's with you eating off of the coloured plates riku" and mitsuki replies by saying "ossan you're drunk go home"
yamato is lazy and noncommittal when he's sober and he'll say things are a pain but he really doesn't whine the way he does when he's drunk!
8. calling it self-harm is still p severe on yamato's part tho BUT AT THE SAme time he's right like no wonder sougo gets ulcers if he literally downs a bottle of tabasco sauce at every meal
9. just a note but towards the end when yamato starts complaining more, he's also consistently referring to sougo in the second person, rather than using his name, which definitely amps up the rudeness factor in japanese!
10. I'm laughing rly hard over yamato nikaidou getting cut off in three different ways in each dialogue path
