【TSUMUGI】： "miss you..."'s MV has been completed fabulously!
Together with your heartrending singing voices, I could feel my chest tightening...!
【SOGO】： Thank you for all of your hard work, manager.
Thank you. I'll have to properly thank the director and the others, as well.
【TSUMUGI】： Last night you had a previewing session with everyone, right? How was the response?
【SOGO】： Uuum....... There was bewilderment, I think?
【TSUMUGI】： Eh!?
【SOGO】： Well, because of the director's instructions, we had it filmed in an incredibly familiar manner, right?
【SOGO】： Since we don't normally ever get that close to each other, the distance was much closer, as if we were brothers, after all.
【TSUMUGI】： To be certain, it was an MV where you were as close as childhood friends or brothers would be.
【TSUMUGI】： It might still be fresh as of right now, but I'm certain that before long, it'll become the natural environment of MEZZO"!
【SOGO】： Will it really.......?
But, is that so. If it became like that, it'd definitely be for the best.
【TSUMUGI】： I, it's not that I have the intention of pushing you, though........
Is there anything you're uneasy about?
【SOGO】： Ah, that's not it! It's not that I dislike the idea.
【SOGO】： Tamaki-kun's real nature is that he's a good kid, and skinship is his forte.
His movements all come naturally and so I've been thinking that I should be using him as an example.
【SOGO】： Whenever he's messing around with Riku-kun and Nagi-kun, just from watching it I find it to be charming.
【SOGO】： Mitsuki-san's also very skilled at it. It makes things lively during live performances, so I think that I need to learn from his example.
【TSUMUGI】： Is there really skilled or not skilled when it comes to skinship, I wonder.....?
Sogo-san, could it be, that rather than having anything to do with Tamaki-san, you're simply poor with skinship?
【SOGO】： Actually, that's how it is........
I was an only child, after all, and even with friends from school, we didn't have the sort of relationship where we'd hit each others' shoulders.
【SOGO】： The only one who really interacted with me in that way would have been my deceased uncle.
【TSUMUGI】： Is that so...!
Men don't really tend to cling onto each other, after all.
【SOGO】： But still, when you do it during lives the crowd goes wild?
If you pull on someone's arm, or join shoulders with someone.
【SOGO】： Even during the MV filming, I was told "Be more natural" countless times, too.
I think I have to study it.

【SOGO】： One time before, I tried nudging Tamaki-kun with my elbow, but all he did was stare in wonder.
Probably, I think I must have missed the timing. It's embarrassing......
【TSUMUGI】： At what sort of time did you nudge him?
【SOGO】： When he said good morning to me. I tried doing it while saying good morning back.
【TSUMUGI】： It might be a bit off.......?
【SOGO】： Ah, you really think so.......?
【TSUMUGI】： But, in that sort of meaning, Tamaki-san is a person with very close distances, so he could be a very good teacher!
【SOGO】： Is his distance close with you, too, manager?
【TSUMUGI】： Yes! He'll firmly grab hold of my head. It seems like it's easy for him to rest his hand there.

6. when tsumugi says "everyone" my guess is that she's referring to the other members of idolish7, but it could also be just with the other staff members!
7. "ほら" is probably one of the most difficult interjections for me to translate because it's one of those ones that's really... gesticulative? I've been sitting here for the past half hour muttering "horahora" to myself to figure out how best to translate it....
8. I was reading through the rest of sougo's unit chats while taking a break from the event and literally started crying into my food and I felt like I was in a terrible reality tv show for a second
9. okay so the reason tsumugi mentions not trying to force sougo into making the MV mezzo'' distance a reality mezzo'' distance is probably because sougo's response of "you're right, it would be best if that happened" set off the warning flag of Why MEZZO'' Is So Dysfunctional for her!
basically, one of mezzo's first early conflicts (they have so many conflicts) comes about because when sougo and tamaki have all of this pressure from outside (manager, members, general public) for them to get along well so mezzo'' will sell well, tamaki's response is "but sou-chan and I don't rly get along well" and sougo's response is "tamaki-kun we are going to become Close Friends Because That's What People Want" — basically, tamaki already thinks that sougo doesn't like him, and then sougo comes in and basically starts acting in a way that makes it seem like he's only trying to get along well with tamaki because other people want them to. like sougo has lines that are like "let's not fight, not because I don't want to fight with you, but because if we don't get along it'll cause a burden for everyone else" — sougo has the sort of personality where he has really? harsh ways of shutting people down tbh and even though the way he's inadvertently dismissive of tamaki is honestly really rude it makes me sad to think about how sougo was raised to be that way.........
anyways, tamaki starts pushing against sougo being like "let's get along so that the other members can feel relieved about us" because from his perspective, it's basically like sougo's all but admitting that he doesn't actually care about getting along with tamaki for tamaki's sake! if you think back to the 2nd secnight cd chapter, sougo says "I've never once thought that being in a unit with someone else would have been better than being in a unit with you" and I think that's kind of a callback to this impression tamaki had where sougo didn't really care about him as a person
mezzo: *exists*
me: *writes three paragraphs about something that's only marginally related*
in any case, I think that the above reason (tamaki Not Liking It when sougo tries to get along better with him For The Sake Of The Greater Good) is why tsumugi specifically says that she's not trying to pressure sougo into getting along with him!
10. suddenly mezzo on couches awkwardly touching hands makes a lot more sense, poor sougo.........
11. sougo's last line was a bit tricky for me to translate but basically he's saying, I dunno, should you really be grabbing a girl's head, I dunno, tamaki-kun
what is it with sougo's chivalry I'm actually starting to become marginally alarmed
