1. the literal title translation is "iori's handmade" w/ implied object but that just looks funky in english so I filled in 'sweets' since the chat is about cakes and all!
2. tsumugi confirmed for weak to sweet things (it pops up in later chats too), I say this because she says "兼ねて" when she talks about visiting the izumi family cake shop — meaning "to serve multiple purposes", so basically she is all but confirming that she is also going there to eat cake and not just for the sake of paying her respects
3. tsumugi says "王道 shortcakes" and even though that literally translates as King's Path apparently it can also mean like Simple Is Best or something??? so
4. tsumugi says "fruit tart" (the pastry name) in english with "plenty of fruit" (the descriptor) in japanese and that is.... kinda repetitive in english...... so suddenly tsumugi only likes fruit tarts with berries on them
5. iori says he has 理解'd tsumugi's preference which is if you ask me an unnecessarily fancy word when he could just be using わかる or 確認 so I have translated it with an equally fancy word of "comprehended your preference"
6. told u there were lots of player x character moments in these chats
7. iori uses so many random english words and it makes me think about how he'd been having nagi teach him english until he found out nagi was mixing truth and lies..... I wonder if he's trying to learn/practice english from a perspective of thinking about the idol industry's globalization? :s
8. on an unrelated note I can't believe the cake izumi papa made for idolish7 was a chiffon cake with plenty of fruits on it. wonder where that decision came from.....
