He was saying that he thought maybe he was a kid who'd just arrived in Tokyo like him, but.

【TENN】： Oh, really. And Tamaki Yotsuba?
【RIKU】： Isn't Tamaki from Tokyo, too?
【TENN】： It seems like he met Tamaki Yotsuba at the same time, too, but even though he was lost he didn't show a bothered appearance,
So he was someone who seemed like he was used to being looked after by others, and was very unreserved, so Ryu was saying he thought he was the rich son of some well-to-do family.
【RIKU】： Tamaki was raised in a facility. You don't know the story about his little sister?
【TENN】： I know about it, but he was wondering if after that he hadn't been pulled out by some rich person.
Ryu has a similar circumstance, after all.
【RIKU】： Does he really?

【RIKU】： No matter how you think of it, Sogo-san and Tamaki are the opposite.
【TENN】： What the. So I shouldn't have believed in Ryu's observations, then.

1. I think the photogravure (he just calls it a gravure in jpn) riku is referring to is probably the photos from the photoshoot, aka, the first photos the two of them have taken as twins
2. riku is so cute he's like "do you know everyone?? whoa! you really do!" after ten lists them off in age order (I can't believe ten knows their age order)
3. the mood whiplash between ten and riku's ch.1s is so real
4. yamato's casual attempts at protecting riku from ten are so cute LOL if he purposefully tries to not tell ten things about riku..... it's even funnier to me that ten pulls the てくれない on yamato's doing like he's honestly offended that yamato hasn't told him who riku gets along with
5. setting aside how unintentionally mean ryuu's description of sougo is (the 素朴 is the same word he uses to compliment tsumugi at one point so I'm sure he means it as a good thing wrt sougo), I feel like ten is squinting at riku for being like "yeah sometimes the guy who reminds me of you, my cool older brother, ten-nii, can be a bit of a dork. did I mention I think you two are similar"
apparently the word that ten uses to refer to sougo can also mean "cherubic" so that was a very strange thing to see
6. ryuu's impressions of sougo and tamaki come from meeting the two of them during the indoor fest chats, fyi!
I stuck a few extra names as designators into the translation that weren't there in japanese because otherwise it felt a bit unclear about which 'he' was being referred to when
7. iirc even though ryuu speaks really fondly of his little brothers I've never actually heard him talk about his parents or family in general with the same degree of affection? even when he's really happy about winning an award (I think it was the jima 新人賞?) he only said "I want to tell my little brothers!!" not "I want to tell my family"
so there's that
8. also for the record, tamaki was in the facility up until he got scouted and moved to the dorms; in the main story, the signature on his permission forms is an adult from the facility, and tsumugi talks about visiting the facility in his ordinary days rabbit chats! so yes ryuu is Not Correct in thinking that tamaki's bravado comes from being raised in a rich family
ALSO RYUU IT'S NOT NICE TO THINK SOUGO'S FROM THE NORTH JUST BECAUSE HIS HAIR IS WHITE
I think "upstart" has a bit more of a negative connotation in english but in this case it's just a shorter way of saying 'someone who came into money suddenly', and not necessarily meant in a rude way!
9. the worst thing about this chat is the knowledge that tsumugi just like? tabbed out? set her phone on silent and went and took care of other work? I don't even know? what would she have done if they'd actually gone and eaten together over a meal instead? awkwardly folded her napkin into a crane?
