Rather than by genre, I guess I pick based on directors and castings I like.

I'm disappointed in myself.

2. gaku's affection for tsumugi is incredible if he could watch Ancient Kyoto Overrun By Zombies and be like "yeah, okay, I can get behind this"
actually his affection is incredible no matter what, but

I think that gaku is saying that tsumugi being "that makes sense now that you mention it since you're an actor, gaku-san!" sounds like she just remembered he was an actor, and so he's commenting on that — in japanese it sounds more like "like you just remembered (LOL)" but I feel like that looks a bit too sarcastic, and the sarcasm comes later in this chat
also, gaku and tsumugi use two different words (役者 and 俳優 respectively) to mean "actor", so I translated them differently to retain that distinction! I... don't actually know what the distinction should necessarily be, though!
4. every time the official twitter updates with the oricon chart status I feel a sharp pain in my heart with how trigger is topping idolish7 in real life too
is tsumugi crying right now too, I wonder
5. ok I should probably dial back the depressive musing and say that on a slightly more meaningful note for all of the shippers out there, I think it says a lot about, like, tsumugi's trust for gaku? or at the very least her respect for him, if she's willing to speak openly about stuff that she's hiding from i7's members
like I do think part of it is just that tsumugi is written as the type of character who speaks openly about pretty much everything for ease of interpretation and for ease of story progression, but I do think that it requires some degree of comfort w/ a person to be willing to say that you cried out of frustration over something even if you try to cover it up w/ a 笑
6. fell off of my chair when I first read those dialogue choices so note to self: don't read gaku's chats when your chair is four feet up off the ground
the word tsumugi uses to refer to gaku switching over is 移籍, which connotates w/ "transferring teams", or else, "transferring your name to a different register" and I
i-isn't that kind of a big deal
minor note, but gaku's wording when he replies is slightly different from his S rank "just come over to our side" phrasing! he uses うちに来れば here, as opposed to 俺らんとこ来ちまえ. the distinction is.... kind of hard for me to really describe, but I thought I'd mention it since the phrases are so similar!

me, having just gotten back up from having fallen off of my chair: [falls off again only this time out of sheer anger]
8. gaku's response to tsumugi bringing up ten and ryuu makes me feel like he is still bitter from the potential response of "will those two be coming too if we meet up" from his 2nd chapter (I forgot to mention it there but gaku's response sounded very put-off by the idea of tsumugi only being interested if ten and ryuu showed up too) because he's basically like "can we stop talking about them now"
it's not quite as severe in japanese (the more accurate way to translate it would be something like "we've already talked about those guys enough", maybe??), but the basic meaning that gaku is trying to convey is that there is no more need for either ten or ryuu to be referenced
9. I'm still so mad about gaku yaotome and soba coexisting in the same sentence so I have no comments on gaku's idea of how he wanted to spend his day off and his feelings on not being able to spend his day off the way he had hoped
I have no sympathy for this man saying that he was lonely go cry into your soba bowl!!!!!!!!
