1. *lights myself on fire* I'm ready
my computer nearly had a heart attack translating this chat because I made it do too many things at once (I had to crop the new pudding stamp) and as I sat there watching it struggle to run photoshop and google chrome at the same time I was just like same.

2. the japanese title doesn't have any subject or objects stated outright, so standalone the title literally is just "belief wanted", which does not look right, so I wrote in the implied subject and object in translating it!
it looks a bit more demanding in english, though....... originally I wanted to write it as "I want you to believe me" but that doesn't look good on twitter LOL
3. I have been thinking about that fanart with tsumugi and the "say 'kawaii lol'!" fan all day and so when gaku said 'kawaii lol' I almost died. I would have died had it not been for my trusty fire coating
4. I still haven't forgiven gaku yaotome for his voice bank having a good morning line that outright says "I heard you sleeptalking" so we're already off to a great start with him messaging tsumugi first thing in the morning
5. fun fact it's hard to translate things when you keep having to cover your face from embarrassment but even moreso, it's hard to type notes about how embarrassed you are when you're busy covering your face with embarrassment? this chat is a nightmare
finally some sense of seasonality in the rabbit chats, though! SO APPARENTLY IT'S GETTING COLDER....
6. not sure which is worse, the fact that gaku yaotome does not even give tsumugi 24 hours to watch his tv appearances (so he expects her to watch them in real time??), or the fact that tsumugi takanashi does in fact watch gaku yaotome's tv appearances in real time
7. I must interrupt my regularly scheduled embarrassment with my equally regularly scheduled mention of how often gaku gets misinterpreted or misrepresented by the public..... it's actually really depressing because he's honestly in a similar boat as ryuu with how his personality as it's perceived by the general public runs opposite to how he is as a person, and he even gets marketed in a way that's practically opposite to his personality, but it's.... not quite as obvious as ryuu's "please stop being with the sexy and let me go home to okinawa" problems
I was going to say that all of trigger gets perceived opposite to their actual personalities but ten's got this weird onion thing going on where he has a very friendly and delicate stage presence, a rotten and cold-seeming personality off the stage, and then beneath all of that is his actual kindness and sensitivity, so I dunno what he counts as LOL
but yes, gaku gets..... a really bad rap...........
8. okay tsumugi's line about the interesting direction confused me at first because I thought maybe she was saying that she thought maybe gaku had been distracted by someone interesting, hence why he turned down the invitations to closing parties and drinking parties? I still think that might be feasible but I'm not sure if you'd use 持って行かれた to refer to a person, necessarily....
so then thinking about it a bit more, I decided to translate it as tsumugi theorizing that maybe the producers of the show had tried to take things in a more interesting direction for the sake of publicity. I still think either one is probably possible, though!
9. reading this chat suddenly I was very glad I did not set yamato as my center (*chanting* leader fight leader fight leader fight) when I went to scout for gaku as I'd first intended to
gaku literally refers to him as "those glasses" and meanwhile I'm just like gaku please when you send three ！！！s into the chat you are scaring me
10. it is 2015 and I still don't know exactly how to translate ウケる....... but basically I think gaku is complimenting the pudding and then being like what the heck is the pudding doing
for the record, the pudding is staring! that's how the onomatopoeia reads on it.
