There's just a little thing I want to ask about the script for "I7 Academy".
【TSUMUGI】： Yamato-san, thank you for all of your hard work!
Yes, what sort of question is it?
【YAMATO】： I wore a school uniform in Episode 1, right?
And that was actually just a borrowed guise to trick Riku, and I was actually the school doctor, right?
I've at least swallowed that much.
【YAMATO】： So on this "School Doctor (※the academy's ruler)" part, what's with the note here?
【TSUMUGI】： It's a very unusual setting, isn't it!
【YAMATO】： Still, there's not any information you'd mark with a ※ where it's totally okay to go with it, is there?
【YAMATO】： Well, whatever.

In order to make the drama more exciting, someone from the seven of you had to be chosen to play the villain........
【YAMATO】： No, well, I'm fine with playing the villain?
【TSUMUGI】： Even though you and Sogo-san normally get along so well........
【YAMATO】： No, well, I'm fine with opposing him?
【TSUMUGI】： It's a scifi academy drama!
【YAMATO】： Ah, so then, that's why Riku's an android?
【YAMATO】： I can't even begin to imagine how this'll end, but, well, I'll be looking forward to it.
【TSUMUGI】： Yes!
Since you're so skilled at acting, Yamato-san, the other members are also relying on you!
【TSUMUGI】： If the drama becomes popular, there are plans to continue producing it, so by all means, please continue to work hard even through Episode 1000!

1. OK first of all I think I promised I'd talk about translating '支配者' as 'ruler' when I got around to translating yamato's chats so here I am ready to (falls asleep on top of my keyboard)
I think I did talk about it a bit in one of mitsuki's chats maybe, but tl;dr the reason I chose 'ruler' was because at the time, it seemed like the shortest option LOL. the kind of impression I meant for 'ruler' to give off was sort of like this shadowy king dude who hung out in the infirmary threatening vampires and high school students,
2. yamato opened the chat with an otsukaresama that should already be setting off warning sirens tbh
3. again with the yamato writing names in kanji instead of in katakana like he usually does and again with me not sure if this is even worth mentioning aside from adding it to my running tally of inconsistencies since the kana/kanji difference doesn't even come across in english.....
4. ※ (the rice symbol) gets used.... kinda similarly to how asterisks get used in english, although from what I've seen it's used generally more to indicate warnings and catch the reader's attention. there's also a slight feeling I get of it being written as something of a sidebar?
so with that said, I'm not 100% on yamato's line about the ※, but I think my interpretation is mostly on point? I might have worded it a bit too excessively but I think his basic point is that you don't usually mark information where it's okay to be Totally Upfront About It with a ※? so he's saying that since it says school's ruler (※), he's guessing that it's supposed to be a somewhat subtle setting?
