【TSUMUGI】： Sogo-san, thank you for all of your hard work!
【TSUMUGI】： Because "Star Camp" was originally an audition programme, with the theme of the instant a star is scouted, I've heard that they'll be requesting comments from a few participants in between live shows.
【TSUMUGI】： If the content is interesting enough, IDOLiSH7 might also be brought into the conversation!
【TSUMUGI】： Would it be alright if I asked you about the time when you were scouted, Sogo-san?
【SOGO】： Manager, thanks for all of your hard work.
It'll be fine if I just talk about when I met President Takanashi, right?
【TSUMUGI】： Yes! If you could, please!
【SOGO】： While I was walking around town someone called out to me, and even though I always turned down those sorts of invitations right away, in President Takanashi's case, suddenly we were sitting across from each other at a coffee shop and talking.
【TSUMUGI】： Suddenly......?
【SOGO】： I'm a bit weak to pressure.......
【TSUMUGI】： I'm terribly sorry that my father went so forcefully......
【SOGO】： At some point while we were talking, I grew interested in the president's words.
【SOGO】： Rather than calling it a growing interest, maybe I was just made to realize it.
【SOGO】： That up until now, all I'd been doing was deceiving myself.
【SOGO】： And so, rather than a life that someone else had prepared for me, I wanted to live a life that I'd chosen for myself, which is why I came to be indebted to this office.
【TSUMUGI】： What had you been doing up until then?
【SOGO】： I was just an ordinary college student.
【SOGO】： Will this sort of response be alright?
【TSUMUGI】： Yes! Thank you very much!

1. sougo's description of being scouted makes me laugh (although if he's weak to pressure I wonder how he turned down all those other random people who?? invited him out???? is that something that happens to sougo a lot. is that why he's so insistent that going out alone is dangerous. son) because he's just like "I should have turned him down but before I realized it, suddenly we were sitting at the same table in a coffee shop halfway across the city"
2. when do I get to write my 10 paragraph essay about sougo's family drama (by which I mean dad drama)

I think he's just being polite (and made a victim by the nature of how rabbit chats string all three paths back together) but the fact that in the third path, sougo's like okay, so this is an official comment for a music festival about being scouted, time to say, "if I hadn't been scouted I might have eventually come to think of music as being a worthless thing. .... is it okay to say that?"

4. my memory is actually a bit fuzzy on the exact details of sougo's dad drama (it doesn't help that I've seen it dramaticized a lot in fanworks and hcs LOL) but basically sougo's family runs a Big Name Corporation and sougo was originally being groomed to take over after his father as head of the company (hence why he references "a life that was arranged for me by someone else"), but I think sougo and his dad didn't get along for several reasons, the most predominant of which was what happened with sougo's uncle (so I'm assuming it was his dad's brother)
sougo talks about wanting people to realize that music is an incredible thing(? iirc) in one of his outdoor festival chapters, or basically that he wants people to acknowledge the worth that music has, and a lot of that.... I wanna call it a grudge? comes from how sougo's uncle had a really strong interest in music (and so he was the one who influenced sougo into liking music so much), and I think? he went off and became like a street musician or something? if I'm remembering it correctly his uncle basically tripped off of the corporate path and went to become the proverbial bum artist, and then.... died somehow? I don't remember exactly how he died but I think the implication was that he died in debt or general poverty (because music is a waste of time and an unprofitable industry etc. etc.) and at the funeral instead of being mourned, mostly everyone in attendance was like HORA YAPPARI (isn't that the name of the skill on sougo's halloween card [looks at the sky]) and talking about how such an upstanding man had sunk so low and lived out the remainder of his life as a sad poor destitute or w/e
whereas for sougo he was sure that his uncle had died happily because he had been doing what he loved and so seeing people be like LMAO THAT GUY WASTED HIS LIFE made the yandere flag trip I guess?
when sougo decided to become an idol his dad threw him out of the house iirc
