【TSUMUGI】： Because "Star Camp" was originally an audition programme, with the theme of the instant a star is scouted, I've heard that they'll be requesting comments from a few participants in between live shows.

【TSUMUGI】： Would it be alright if I asked you about the time when you were scouted, Mitsuki-san?

In my case, it was Iori who brought the president to our house.
【MITSUKI】： With the premise of a debut happening, he suggested that we try going to lessons with both brothers.
【MITSUKI】： I'd been aiming at becoming an idol and trying my best, and at that time I'd been feeling down over failing another audition, so I was so happy, I thought I must have been dreaming!
【TSUMUGI】： I see...!
【MITSUKI】： For a second, I wondered if maybe I was just being tricked, but there was the fact that Iori was still a minor, and the president came and properly met with our parents.
【MITSUKI】： I gave the OK almost immediately, but I didn't actually think Iori's give the OK, too.
【MITSUKI】： I'd never known that he wanted to become an idol. He told me that it was because of my influence, though.
【TSUMUGI】： The other members were also very surprised to learn that the two of you were brothers, after all!
【TSUMUGI】： Since the two of you don't look alike
【MITSUKI】： That's true, yeah—.
【MITSUKI】： Iori gets told that he got all of our parents' good traits, whereas I get told that I resemble my granny in her youth..........
【MITSUKI】： It seems like Granny was really popular so I guess it's fine, but............
We also get told that if you look closely, we do resemble each other, though!

1. I'm very incoherent when it comes to this chat because first of all I feel awful every time mitsuki talks about how often he'd failed at auditions prior to debuting as a part of idolish7 and I cry when other members of idolish7 confirm that he's a necessary part of the group or rely on him, and second of all because I don't make the rules but the izumi brothers continue to be the most important
2. I think that mitsuki is basically saying that because the president took consideration of iori's baby status and came to talk to his parents (knowing that he was a minor) was basically like? a sign of honest intent? like if the president were just trying to swindle these brothers, he probably wouldn't have gone out of his way to go and talk to the parents? just.... trick the kid
or follow him onto the train, whatever works
3. I know that iori got takanashi sr. (what even is his first name????? noisy spring???) in on the plan to not tell mitsuki about their deal, and iirc... I think he also opened up to tsumugi about it in the main story? tsumugi at the very least was made aware that iori was really bent on making sure that mitsuki's idol career was successful, so I feel like that might be why she responds by saying that she's glad that -the president- found mitsuki, even though the situation is more like.... iori led the president to mitsuki..... like, she's trying to also cover for iori's involvement? or something
4. one of my favorite (least favorite) things about the izumi brothers that I will never shut up about is how what hurt mitsuki over the ^ situation wasn't that it happened in the first place or that he only got into idolish7 because of iori, but the fact that iori still thought of it as being something that he was responsible for
idk that's just a!! rly important distinction...... I think that a large part of it can be interpreted as mitsuki being hurt by what he perceived as iori acting like he was better than him (like, thinking, "nii-san only became a part of this group thanks to me"), but I think it's also true that mitsuki was upset with iori for, again, messing with other peoples' business instead of doing whatever it was that he wanted to do — especially if you think about how iori apparently told mitsuki that it was because of his influence he was interested in becoming an idol, from mitsuki's perspective it'd feel like that was a lie (which it kind of was, at the time)
I'm sure that mitsuki feeling like iori was looking down on him was a considerable factor in why he felt so hurt like I said, but.... I am also almost positive that it's his "iori you need to worry about your own happiness instead of worrying about someone else's" thing that also bothered him?
there's also the fact that iori kind of has a brooding personality — he's still feeling guilty over forgetting to sing his part at myufest even up until right before they're about to go onstage and sing memories melodies at black or white, and iirc mitsuki kind of reacts in a way that's like, well gee, so you were still feeling responsibility over that after all......., — what I'm trying to say with this is that iori continuing to think that mitsuki's presence in idolish7 is because of him, even after they've been active as a group for so long, kind of follows in that iori-brooding-over-things (and mitsuki worrying about that) theme?
is this one note longer than the entire chat combined? do I have really hardcore izumi brother tunnel vision?
5. do you think that tamaki kept thinking that iori was the older one even after the two of them transferred into the same school
do you think he thought that would have made mitsuki, like, fourteen or fifteen, or do you think that he would have thought that iori got held back into being in the same grade as him, or
6. I think I have, like, two pics of idolish7 fanart saved onto my phone? one of them is a group picture and the other one is of mitsuki's grandmother (whom he resembles) in her youth with nagi commenting "MITSUKI YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!"
