【IORI】： He was a stalker.
【TSUMUGI】： Iori-san, thank you for all of your hard work!
【TSUMUGI】： Because "Star Camp" was originally an audition programme, with the theme of the instant a star is scouted, I've heard that they'll be requesting comments from a few participants in between live shows.
【TSUMUGI】： If the content is interesting enough, IDOLiSH7 might also be brought into the conversation!
【TSUMUGI】： Would it be alright if I asked you about the time when you were scouted, Iori-san?
【IORI】： I don't mind, but it'll become an amusing story about your father, is that alright?
【TSUMUGI】： Ah, alright......
【IORI】： When I was a first year in high school, I had some shopping to do, and so I went into the city on my way home from school.
【IORI】： Having finished my shopping, when I sat down on a bench at the station, an older man who I didn't know sat down beside me and began to speak to me while smiling cheerfully.
【IORI】： When I looked carefully, I realized it was the same older man who I'd passed by while in the middle of shopping.
【IORI】： I'd stayed on my guard and went to board the train, but then the older man came and rode on the same train as me.
【IORI】： He was very persistent, and kept asking me about my hobbies, what sort of music I liked, and about my family.
【IORI】： I'd been ignoring him, but in that instant I was certain of it.
【IORI】： He was a stalker.
【TSUMUGI】： I'm dreadfully sorry for my father's...........
【IORI】： He offered me his business card, but only after I'd moved down two carriages.
【IORI】： If he'd only delayed a bit longer, I would have called for a station attendant.
【TSUMUGI】： I'm very impressed you took it.....
【IORI】： I had Nii-san to consider, after all.
【IORI】： This is about it, but I wonder if it's alright. For the sake of the president.
【TSUMUGI】： I, I think it should be alright. Thank you very much!
【TSUMUGI】： I'm very impressed you didn't lose your temper at him.....
【IORI】： He'd been very smiley, so I didn't feel particularly angry, actually.
【IORI】： This is about it, but I wonder if it's alright. For the sake of the president.
【TSUMUGI】： I, I think it should be alright. Thank you very much!
【TSUMUGI】： I'm very impressed you didn't call the police.....
【IORI】： He didn't give off a particularly villainous aura, actually.
【IORI】： Although once he'd followed me all the way to my house, I wasn't so certain...........

2. iori: I was incredibly cautious and kept trying to move away because I thought he was a stalker
tamaki: caution? nah....... I could probably win in a fight..........
riku: he showed up in our karaoke booth out of the blue but he seemed nice!

3. iori be like, you can sit down next to me when literally every other bench is probably open, and you can follow me onto a train, and you can smile at me, and you can ask about my interests, but the second you ask about my family, you are definitely a stalker
I might be reading into this too much but, like, the izumi family is pretty well-known according to mitsuki because of their cake shop? I MEAN to be fair being asked about your family is still pretty intrusive and being well-known doesn't change the intrusiveness, but I'd think that to a kid who might be used to being recognized because of their family business, "tell me about your family" should be less [stalker levels expanding] than "tell me about what sort of music you like"
so since the straw that breaks the stalker camel's back for iori is being asked about his family, it..... it almost feels kind of like he's trying to protect mitsuki........ does that make sense?

4. obvs the reason iori references mitsuki for being the reason he took the president's business card is because he would then later make the condition that he'd only accept the scouting invitation as long as mitsuki was scouted, too

also cries thinking about how iori was one of the most upset people in the first chapter by being like "weren't we going to debut with the seven of us the seven (2) of us"
