【MITSUKI】: It's be—
【MITSUKI】: Huh. Nobody's here yet? It's time for the Rabbit Chat Conference to start, though?
【MITSUKI】: Ah! I was off by an hour! I got here early

【NAGI】: Did someone call for me.
【NAGI】: I have been checking the state of affairs this entire time, but as nobody was present I have been hiding.

【MITSUKI】: Eh? Wait, I get it. Are you free?
【MITSUKI】: Where are you right now?

【NAGI】: The hotel.

【MITSUKI】: Ohh— you've had a long day. Was Furano pretty?

【NAGI】: During the day, yes. The nighttime is dark and lonely. The television is not broadcasting anime, either.
【NAGI】: I would like to go home now.

【MITSUKI】: You're getting homesick just like that, again, huh—

【NAGI】: May I call you?

【MITSUKI】: We're about to start a meeting

【NAGI】: I will call you
【NAGI】: Why is it that you will not receive my call. Mitsuki, you are a person as cold as a Hokkaido night. I am extremely sorrowful.

【MITSUKI】: That's 'cause I'm in transit. Right now I'm on the train.

【NAGI】: Is it not late to be returning home?

【MITSUKI】: After the meeting for the program, I ate dinner with the actors! It was super interesting!!

【NAGI】: While I was spending a lonely evening in a hotel where I cannot even watch anime, it seems that you were able to have a splendid encounter, Mitsuki.

【MITSUKI】: Yep! Wanna hear the details?

【NAGI】: Mitsuki, I am being sarcastic

【MITSUKI】: I know

【SOGO】: Thank you for all of your hard work.

【MITSUKI】: Ohh— same to you—

【NAGI】: Gw

【SOGO】: We'll arrive at the hotel soon.
I think we'll be able to make it in time for the conference.
【SOGO】: As soon as we reach the room, I'll get in contact again.

【MITSUKI】: Got it—. The manager hasn't gotten here yet either so there's no rush

【NAGI】: Can you watch anime in your room, Sogo?

【SOGO】: I wonder? Once we've checked in I'll take a look, but why do you ask?

【NAGI】: If it happens to be that you can watch anime, I will point my jealousy at you

【SOGO】: Even if you say that.......

【MITSUKI】: What about Tamaki? What's he doing?

【SOGO】: He's motion sick. It looks like he's feeling nauseous from constantly looking down and playing games.

【MITSUKI】: Even though we're always warning him, I can't believe that guy—

【SOGO】: I've been told to not look after him like it's a side job, so I'll be temporarily dropping out. I'll get in contact again later.

【MITSUKI】: Aight

【YAMATO】: Good work, today—. I'm on the bullet train now.

【NAGI】: Gw

【YAMATO】: Gw
【YAMATO】: This beer's great

【MITSUKI】: Don't go drinking right before a conference. You're not gonna fall asleep?

【YAMATO】: Just from this amount, onii-san won't get drunk
【YAMATO】: The manager hasn't arrived yet, huh. Well, we're still early on time.

【MITSUKI】: Right, right. Nagi just happened to be here, so we've been talking. Sogo was here earlier, too.

【NAGI】: Yamato, it is very lucky that you are able to return to Tokyo tonight.

【YAMATO】: Oh, I bet you're lonely—. What if you tried saying you're lonely?

【NAGI】: I'm lonely...

【YAMATO】: Well, even if you say that there's not much to do about it—

【NAGI】: :'-(

【MITSUKI】: Yamato-san, you're such a savage—

t/n:

1. FIRST!! OF!!! ALL!!!!! if you hear muffled screaming coming somewhere from up north it's because it's me, screaming over getting to read (and translate) the margaret card rabbit chats....... I'm so so so excited to get to post these, I cannot stress it enough!!!!! it's all thanks to twitter user berselium who was so so kind in sharing screenshots of the chats with me, I am in tears..... ;________; I'm so grateful..... I'm so arigatouful.........

2. regarding the title, I almost.... want to translate it as, "nagi, trapped with the grownup team", or, "nagi, victimized by the grownup team" — that's kind of the general connotation I'm getting from the chat.... poor guy. obviously the adult team = the 3 legal adults (mitsuki sougo and yamato)!

also since the card is technically a riku center card, I'm tagging it as a riku card for the sake of organization just fyi! even though riku does not.... actually appear in this chat..... LOL

3. reading this chat made me want to throw my hands in the air and leave "otsukaresama" written in romaji throughout the text because heck if I can write "thanks for all of your hard work" each time it's used, every time it's used it's used for a generally different contextual purpose..... not to mention nagi starts using slang...................

...... but, I tried my best to translate it anyways.

4. so! on episode one of my eternal otsukaresama woes, we have me guessing that mitsuki's "otsu" is the beginning of him saying "otsukaresama" — in this case, he's using it to basically start the conversation for the rabbit chat kaigi and get the ball rolling, so in this case I decided to take a slightly more heavy-handed approach and translate it as "it's be(en a long day) (thank you for all of your hard work)"

5. furano is a location in hokkaido! nagi's in hokkaido for work (modeling work, I believe?) — hence why he's all alone. I'm guessing mitsuki was filming a variety show or something, and those are the people he was having dinner with afterwards?

6. I translated sougo's otsukaresama with my default "thank you (plural.... implied..... ;;.....) for all of your hard work" because it felt like the easiest/most applicable one for this situation. he's also using it to announce his presence, I think!

and then nagi pulls out the slang (乙), so I've decided to write it as an acronym (gw for.. .. ... good work????) whenever he uses it. you can also pretend that gw is short for "greetings", somehow.

7. I'm guessing that tamaki is basically telling sougo to take better care of him and not be primarily on the rabbit chat while trying to take care of him??? omg tamaki..... mitsuki's response reads kind of like slang to me, so I translated it as slang for alright

8. yamato is also using otsukare(san) to announce his presence

basically otsukare(sama/san) is used to express acknowledgment that everyone present has had a long day, while simultaneously voicing unspoken gratitude for having worked through said long day. it's also used as a greeting, which is three too many meanings for a phrase that already doesn't have a clean english translation!

9. I have? half an hour left on my laptop battery after translating this chat? worth it?
