1. I translated a lot of things more figuratively in this chat to try and match mitsuki's General Enthusiasm, so the accuracy levels have somewhat decreased and given me (lots more, and thus) fewer things to agonize over in the translation notes...
2. it's kinda strange to me that tsumugi points out mitsuki's dancing as standing out since 1. mitsuki does a lot of extra practicing since his dancing is often out of sync (yamato points out that it's because he's short LOL — his stride is a different length, so even if he perfectly matches tamaki's or anyone else's movements, it'll always be slightly off) and 2. ten greets mitsuki as "oh, it's the one who sucks at dancing" at one point in the story
say what you will about ten's standards but clearly mitsuki's dancing is not his standout point.........
3. uhhh I'm not sure how much of mitsuki's situation is well-known within the english-speaking fandom, but basically he's always dreamed of being an idol but 1. He's short (and kinda lacks like Stereotypical Pretty Boy looks) 2. he's.... not that good at singing or dancing, and so even though he'd train on his own and go to auditions, none of it ever came through.........
then, iori got scouted by the president ("I thought he might have been a stalker...."), and he said that he'd only enter the office on the condition that mitsuki got in, too, which is how mitsuki and iori came to both be members of idolish7. the main story addresses this during the gossip chapter and mitsuki's reaction is pretty saddening...... it's also kinda sad because iori mentions feeling a lot of guilt because becoming an idol was mitsuki's dream, but the one who got scouted (and primarily for his Anime Pretty Boy Good Looks if I'm remembering his scouting chapter correctly) was iori, and the one who has enough vocal skill to sing a duet with Prodigy Vocalist Riku-kun is.... also iori.
(iirc, the thing that mitsuki resents iori for more is that sense of guilt, rather than for any of the things he can do better....)
