【TSUMUGI】： Originally, this scene expanded the plot by having Sogo-san, who had misunderstood the relationship between the heroine and Riku-san, become swayed by half-truths from Yamato-san, who was disguised as the school doctor, and get into a lover's quarrel with the heroine.
【MITSUKI】： Ahhh. The home economics teacher was originally a woman, after all.
【TSUMUGI】： In order to reconcile the inconsistencies, suddenly the fantasy aspects have come forward!
【MITSUKI】： So it came out, after all—!!!
【TSUMUGI】： Riku-san has also become an android!

1. I swear that tsumugi is playing dumb at the start of this chat. I swear she is pretending that she doesn't have to review the changes. I swear she is trying to divert the subject so that she doesn't have to talk about how messed up this drama has become overnight. I swear
2. mitsuki (or the script) keeps referring to sougo as his "colleague" and I'm guessing that's probably where "fiancee" was supposed to be written instead? which makes it seem a bit less repetitive than repeating "colleague" over and over again—so I left the repetition in hoping to convey that same effect?
it was a bit difficult to translate these lines the way I wanted to because japanese quotations naturally fall at the end of the sentence, making mitsuki's explanation of the setting flow in a very specific way; he describes everything up to sougo being manipulated by yamato's dark power and attack him before he says "what's with that"
they are asking sougo to do so much in this drama
3. apparently yamato is not only disguised as a student, but also disguising as the school doctor, but also actually the school doctor, but? I really don't know....
4. I feel kind of bad for mitsuki because from the start he was the most like? prepared to see inconsistencies show up in the script.... he was bracing himself for having to deal with a totally messed up setting for the drama...... and then it arrived and all he could do is sit there and scream silently I guess
5. a hyakki yagyou is basically a parade of ghosts/devils/demons from japanese mythology — I couldn't really think of a good adaptation/localization, so I decided to leave it as is in the text! basically, he's saying, was this school always home to supernatural creatures. is this school turning into a vampire knight fanfic
(I've never read vampire knight)
6. mitsuki doesn't quite say "chuunibyou" but he comes pretty close (he only says the chuuni part, but the point of it being an Adolescent Phase remains so I figure it's a rough equivalent)— there... really isn't a good translation for chuunibyou in japanese that I know of? it's literally "second year of middle school syndrome" or like. basically puberty. all of the things that you find really cool and edgy when you're an adolescent.... so I put chuunibyou and I feel really weird about it, if anyone has any recommendations for what to put instead please tell me w
