【IORI】： It's because, thanks to Nikaido-san's appearances in dramas, the number of fans has increased.
Since Nikaido-san tends to play fairly dark roles, I thought it'd be better to match the taste to that instead.
【IORI】： With that being the case, the person who would be most suited towards dark facial expressions would be Osaka-san.
Well, Osaka-san is a multi-talented type who can fit bright tastes perfectly fine, too.
I was thinking that we'd have the two of them build the atmosphere for the MV.
【TSUMUGI】： I see, so that's what your thought process was!
In that case, would it be better if I requested that the MV have an adult and calm atmosphere?
【IORI】： No, in the end, IDOLiSH7's center is Nanase-san.

1. all of the halloween chats reference a new "new single"(/new song) that idolish7 is releasing (kind of like how all of the indoor fest chats mentioned the costumes for the new single and how they were going to be presenting it at star camp!) — since they mention that the song is Dark And Adult, I thought that maybe they could be referring to good night awesome (by a really big stretch), but pretty much none of the conversations have to do w/ nemesis (yamato's drama) and the line distribution for this mysterious New Single still has riku as the center (rather than yamato as the center as per the line distribution for good night awesome).
so I have no idea what the new single is. you'd think it'd be good night awesome bc of the cover but it Probably Is Not
2. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but you come of age @ age 20 in japan! so the legal drinking age is 20 (hence why sougo can drink), and in general turning 20 is a pretty big deal. iori is seventeen, so that's why he's saying that he'll talk about things once idolish7's been active for 3 years — because he'll be turning 20.
oh my god yamato will be 25. he'll be so old
3. I'm glad that iori's reason for wanting to wait to talk until he's 20 isn't so that i7 as a group has gotten more comfortable, but so that when he's like "yes I have been doing all of this awesome managing work. thank me for gathering 3000 people for that one concert. be impressed by all of my incredible accomplishments", he won't have, like, yamato trying to pat him on the head or something LOL
I'm glad that these are the concerns that keep iori izumi up at night

I'm not sure if "sweet" is necessarily a less embarrassing substitute for "cute", but the word iori used does kind of imply like, childishness or naivety, so there's that. also iori's usage of the word taste is weirding me out so badly, I don't think it's SUPPOSED to have a weird meaning or anything in japanese but literally. 'sweet taste'. why
as an actual translation note, I had to move iori's mistake around to fit an english sentence structure. the "let's go with an atmosphere" part was originally in his second message, and I tried to think of a way to start the sentence with "Nanase-san's cut", but I couldn't think of anything that didn't sound awkward.......
it might also be worth noting that "chic" could also have been "sick" since it was written in katakana!
