【TSUMUGI】: How did Kujo-san reply?
【RYUNOSUKE】: That the only other person who had ever come to him with such a high-handed demand was his younger brother.

【RYUNOSUKE】: Tsumugi-chan, thanks for all of your hard work.
Ah, sorry! Takanashi-san, thanks for all of your hard work!

【TSUMUGI】: I'm fine with being called Tsumugi-chan! LOL

【RYUNOSUKE】: I just saw "I7 Academy"!
It was super funny! I kept bursting out laughing!
【RYUNOSUKE】: The part where Riku-kun suddenly began to act more like a robot was especially funny!
【RYUNOSUKE】: Since it made me laugh, I wanted to share my thoughts.

Even though we exchanged IDs for the sake of emergency measures, sorry that I'm using it for a different purpose.
I'm looking forward to next week, too!

【TSUMUGI】: Thank you very much for the courtesy!
I'm sure everyone else will be pleased, too!

【RYUNOSUKE】: I was clutching my stomach from laughing!
Wait...... It's okay to laugh at that drama, right?

【TSUMUGI】: Yes! It's a school comedy, after all!
There are several instances where it became a comedy through some unavoidable circumstances, though...

【RYUNOSUKE】: It was incredibly funny!
I actually like comedies and funny stories a lot.
【RYUNOSUKE】: But, since TRIGGER rarely gets those sorts of opportunities, I'm a bit jealous.

【TSUMUGI】: TRIGGER does give off the "cool!" impression, after all!
When you're conversing on talk shows, the three of you can be incredibly funny, though!

【RYUNOSUKE】: Eh? We're generally pretty serious when it comes to talk shows, though?

【TSUMUGI】: Ah, ..... um, sometimes, when the conversation doesn't quite mesh, I find myself giggling...

【RYUNOSUKE】: Aah, you mean Tenn and Gaku?
Whenever those two seem like their relationship is bad, it's because they've just been fighting.

【TSUMUGI】: Is that so!

【RYUNOSUKE】: No matter how badly they disagree, as soon as the camera's on him, Tenn will smile and start talking to Gaku cheerfully, right?
【RYUNOSUKE】: Gaku can't really keep up with that.

【TSUMUGI】: I see..... This is one of the difficulties in being a performer, after all...!

【RYUNOSUKE】: Lately, I haven't been able to keep up either, and so when I'd tried to follow Tenn's face constantly, he got mad at me and told me to not let what happened backstage show on my face while we were working.

【TSUMUGI】: Kujo-san is a bit strict, after all....

【RYUNOSUKE】: It's because Tenn's serious about his work.
Then again, I tend to show things on my face easily, so
【RYUNOSUKE】: I asked him, "While we're broadcasting, so that I don't have to worry about anything, no matter what someone does, if they apologize then please forgive them in that instant."

【TSUMUGI】: How did Kujo-san reply?

【RYUNOSUKE】: That the only other person who had ever come to him with such a high-handed demand was his younger brother.

t/n:

1. ryuu greets tsumugi w/ otsukaresama, obvs.! I thought about changing it to something like "you've been working hard" but for now I figured I'd just try to be consistent with how I translate things....
my favorite thing is that ryuu corrects himself within the same message. like, he could not just backspace out and retype takanashi-san. he had to correct himself.

2. I don't think I've ever talked about why I translated ainana gakuen as i7 academy? first of all ainana is kind of the slang form of referring to idolish (aidorisshu) 7 (nana) which is why you can search ainana on twitter or pixiv and pull results about the game, and most english speaking fans who I've seen shorten idolish7 will write "i7" -- so there's that sort of parallel. there's also the fact that "ainana" is literally the "ai" (i) from "idolish" and the "nana" (7) from "seven", so it works as a literal translation too, lol....

3. there are a few points in this entry where I kind of had to fudge the translations, so.... if anything seems wonky, that's probably why! dreamwidth was lagging while I was trying to transcribe stuff so that wasn't fun, either, and also why I didn't make a note of it whenever I found something I wasn't quite sure on... I think overall I got the general meaning across, though, maybe.

4. I can't believe ryuu watches i7 academy.

do you think that ten and gaku watch it, too

5. ryuu's last line is kinda tricky to translate succinctly, but the basic meaning is that tenn was saying that the last person to make such an oppressive (the word he used can mean tyrannic, despotic, violent and I'm like Ten Please) demand of him was riku, and that ever since riku made his tyrannic, despotic, violent, oppressive demands (which would have been x many years ago, back when ten was still looking after riku), nobody else had ever come close, but now ryuu has crossed the line

basically ten was like what the heck, you're the first person who's ever made a request so unreasonable that it can compare to riku

I

6. OH an actual translation note, but "variety" in this case means variety shows and stuff that's generally.... meant to be funny or humorous for the viewers. it's kind of similar to the game shows you see on western television, I think? (I don't.... watch tv.....). it's not so much "variety" meaning "there's a wide variety of things to see". I think that technically the web programme that i7 was doing (an idolish night with you) might have been variety-esque, since they played games and answered questions and messed up on their self-introductions, etc.

if you pay attention to irl idols, "variety" becomes kind of an ingrained word with that meaning, so I almost forgot that it's not necessarily the kind of word you'd expect to mean what it actually does...
