1. obligatory "so that's why mitsuki's holding a life-preserver looking inner tube in his summer memories card" comment
the worst thing about this rabbit chat is there's one with riku (I think it's his first summer memories one?) where he's like "I'll give you a ride on a pedal boat!" and tsumugi is like "I will definitely get soaking wet!!" and he's like "NAH IT'LL BE FINE", or something like that, idk there's a kanji I have to look up. anyways
2. I'm actually mildly concerned because? the writers keep putting these poor children in these awful domino situations? not only do they play dominos on their web programme, there's the fight yamato solves in his first ordinary days chapter, and then there's the fight that results in sougo getting injured, and now there's the mitsuki-saving-nagi-drowning-while-saving-riku-drowning-while-saving-tsumugi chain of dominoes...... are there no other plot points?
for the record though I think the reason it's just nagi and riku + mitsuki involved in this case is because the scenario is that mitsuki is babysitting nagi and riku the two Ocean Amateurs, so the three of them happened to be going around together. I know that the boat incident gets mentioned in riku's rabbit chats too but idr nagi's.....
3. mitsuki's "unexpected is unnecessary!" kind of has the sort of snappy feeling that a lot of mitsuki's outbursts have, and it still sounds a bit awkward in english... he's basically saying like "don't call it unexpected, I know I'm short, you don't have to rub it in, okay, I'm short, and not manly, and I crossdress for the i7 academy chats" — basically, don't ruin the moment, tsumugi
4. I'm guessing that mitsuki's "since you must be bored" thing might be...... a jab about how tsumugi got brought onto the boat in the first place because she "must have been bored"........
5.I have no idea what he meant by his stock. maybe mitsuki secretly plays the stock market -- updated the line to "did I trip a flag"!
twitter user @AniManga19930 clarified it for me -- by stock, he probably means something like tsumugi's affection for him, i.e., like when you do something to increase someone's affection in a dating sim. h-how cute.... thank you so much for the explanation, btw!
6. I ACTUALLY really love mitsuki, but his chats are so hard for me to translate because he speaks v. informally/casually and is so energetic I'm never sure how to properly convey that..... gives him a southern accent tbh. also I rolled his summer memories card v. early on too so I kind of.... forgot about the rabbit chats on it, LOL. he's definitely one of my top faves tho!! jk they are all my top faves
