【IORI】: I can't help it if I don't know of any other ways to play together besides offering advice.
【TSUMUGI】: But, it's not as if you weren't happy to have been invited by Riku-san, right!

【IORI】: Manager, thank you for all of your hard work.
Have you heard anything from Nanase-san recently?

【TSUMUGI】: Thank you for all of your hard work.
I haven't heard anything in particular, did something happen?

【IORI】: We were together up until a while ago, but because of something trivial, the mood worsened and he went off on his own.
【IORI】: Honestly. I don't know what to do with him.

【TSUMUGI】: Did you get into a fight!?

【IORI】: Well, I suppose.

【TSUMUGI】: What exactly happened to cause a fight?

【IORI】: It's a dull reason.
【IORI】: Nanase-san had suddenly declared, "Iori, you've probably never been to a game centre, so I'll take you to one."
【IORI】: (Probably, he was the one who wanted to go.)
【IORI】: I've gone several times with Nii-san, but in order to save Nanase-san's face, I obediently went along with him.
【IORI】: But that person, no matter what he did, he was absolutely terrible.
【IORI】: When I commented that "Nii-san was much better at that", or "if it were Nii-san, he would have done this"
【IORI】: As a parting remark, he spat, "Nii-san, nii-san — if Mitsuki is really so much better, why didn't you just come with Mitsuki, you brocon!" and rushed out of the game centre.

【TSUMUGI】: Ahhh... I see, so something like that happened....

【IORI】: Regarding this case, I also have several objections.
【IORI】: First of all, while he said that I should have gone with Nii-san, the one who invited me was Nanase-san.
【IORI】: Secondly, the one who's a brocon is that person.

[1]: The third reason?
[2]: Riku-san is certainly also a brocon, but....
[3]: Isn't it possible that he wanted you to praise him, Iori-san?

【TSUMUGI】: The third reason?

【IORI】: Even though he's an idol, he was flagrantly scoring BADs on rhythm games. Nanase-san is the one at fault here.
【IORI】: If you haven't heard anything, that's fine.
I'll try searching for him myself, a bit.
【IORI】: Honestly, on top of being poor at games, he's such a bothersome person.

【TSUMUGI】: Please don't say things like that.

The fact that you contacted me means that you were worried about Riku-san, doesn't it?

【IORI】: I suppose you could say that.

【TSUMUGI】: I think that for Riku-san it was definitely,
That despite having invited you to play, when he felt like he was being told that you would have had more fun if you'd gone with Mitsuki-san, he felt hurt.
【TSUMUGI】: Please be sure to tell him that even if he's poor at games, it was still fun.

【IORI】: It wasn't exactly fun.
【IORI】: I felt awkward...
It was my first time coming to a place like that with anyone besides Nii-san, after all.
【IORI】: I can't help it if I don't know of any other ways to play together besides offering advice.

【TSUMUGI】: But, it's not as if you weren't happy to have been invited by Riku-san, right!

【IORI】: Well.......

【TSUMUGI】: Then, please convey that to him!

It's alright. If it's the two of you, I'm sure that you'll be able to reconcile quickly!

【IORI】

【TSUMUGI】: Riku-san is certainly also a brocon, but....

【IORI】: That's right. You call the category of people like him brocons.
Nii-san and I have a cool and collected relationship.
【IORI】: If you haven't heard anything, that's fine.
I'll try searching for him myself, a bit.
【IORI】: Honestly, on top of being poor at games, he's such a bothersome person.

【TSUMUGI】: Please don't say things like that.

【TSUMUGI】: Isn't it possible that he wanted you to praise him, Iori-san?

【IORI】: Listen to me.
Aren't the proper cues and opportunities necessary for compliments?
【IORI】: Regardless of the game he played, Nanase-san never received a high score.
He only succeeded at the ones that required you to throw coins into an opening.
【IORI】: If you haven't heard anything, that's fine.
I'll try searching for him myself, a bit.
【IORI】: Honestly, on top of being poor at games, he's such a bothersome person.

t/n:

1. I keep referencing this chat with my [iori voice] first of all that person is a much larger brocon than me joke, so I figured.... I should probably.... translate it eventually.....?

2. originally iori says that riku Disappeared, but I felt like saying "the mood worsened and he disappeared" seems a little bit too, like.... iori weren't you paying attention, so I changed it a bit.

3. iori denotes riku's declaration as being like a Proud or Elated one and the grammar riku uses is like "I'll do you the favor of taking you to one" (it sounds less heavy-handed in japanese I promise), but I wasn't sure how to word it in english so. basically the image I'm getting is that riku probably seemed really proud of the idea of being the first person to take iori to a game center. Child

4. this chat is kind of a bit tragic to me (iori is kind of a bit tragic to me) because it's an aspect of iori's personality that I guess? is kind of difficult to convey? he touches on it during his 3rd summer memories chat, but basically for iori criticizing (or "giving advice") is basically the only way he really has to communicate with other people. he ran into the same issue with mitsuki when he kept trying to coach him on his goal of becoming an idol, and now he's having the same problem with criticizing riku on how he plays games. like idk I don't think that iori thinks he's being A Literal Saint (*chants "Perfect High School Student" softly*) by giving advice but I think it is the only way he knows how to interact with people. he's such a straight and narrow child....

5. less a translation note and more an overall note that I feel like the unit rabbit chats are? much more involved or intricate than say the ordinary days chats are. TECHNICALLY I CAN'T REALLY SPEAK FOR THAT BC I ONLY HAVE THE ONE (1) UNIT CARD BUT part of it I guess is that they were probably written later, part of it is probably that they're rarer and so the stories had like a bit more care put into them, but either way. iori is probably the character who I grew to like the most by reading his rabbit chats so I'm [looks at the camera]. mostly though this chat is so long and I actually had to transcribe it twice because in the japanese version apparently there's a kanji that isn't recognized by the utf-8 encoding system.....????????

6. iori's calling his and mitsuki's relationship "cool" is just as hilarious in japanese as it is in english BUT I should note that he's intending it as like the calm and collected sort of cool not the kyaaaa how awesome kind of cool. like he's saying that he and mitsuki have a chill relationship

7. I might just be reading into it but I feel like iori pulled out his high school whine when he started talking about being embarrassed...... child pls

8. riku has done so much for iori in these rabbit chats it is kind of horrifying how much he enjoys playing the big brother. I think one of riku's i7 academy chats talks about that too actually
