TENN KUJO / REHEARSAL〜SHOWTIME : PART 1
Oct. 16th, 2015 07:06 am【TENN】: If he gets to be too depressing, tell me.
【TSUMUGI】: No, not at all!
Since Gaku-san is always taking the time to look out for us, I feel very grateful to him!
【TSUMUGI】: Kujo-san, it's a pleasure to speak with you via chat...!
This is Tsumugi Takanashi from Takanashi Productions.
【TSUMUGI】: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your ID.
【TENN】: This is Tenn Kujo.
【TSUMUGI】: Was it bothersome? Exchanging addresses with me...
【TENN】: Not really. It was Gaku's suggestion, after all.
Still, it's better if you don't mention anything to Takanashi Pro.'s talent.
【TENN】: Hearing that their own manager was tied to talent from another office wouldn't give off a good feeling.
【TENN】: But since it was an emergency measure this time, it couldn't be helped.
【TSUMUGI】: Thank you for your consideration.
That's true... I'll take care to not let this leak to our talent or president.
【TENN】: You don't have to be that tense about it, though.
【TSUMUGI】: U, understood!
【TENN】: I just said you don't have to be tense.
I'm the one who should be sorry. Since Gaku seems to have taken a liking to you.
【TENN】: If he gets to be too depressing, tell me.
【TSUMUGI】: No, not at all!
Since Gaku-san is always taking the time to look out for us, I feel very grateful to him!
【TSUMUGI】: I think that the reason for why we exchanged contacts was because he was thinking of our talent and our office, too.
【TSUMUGI】: If anything, I'm the one who's terribly sorry for causing a burden!
【TENN】: It's alright.
It's not like the conflict between Yaotome Jr. and Sr. is something that started recently.
【TSUMUGI】: Thank you very much!
【TENN】: Not at all.
【TENN】: Is that kid doing well?
【TSUMUGI】: That kid?
【TSUMUGI】: Ah....., he's doing very well! He's working hard at his lessons today, as well.
【TENN】: I see.
【TENN】: Then I'm glad.

t/n:
1. this rabbit chat was the moment of truth of "did I pick different-looking enough pinks for tsumugi and ten's colors"
still no trigger icons.... I've been meaning to switch over to official arina art for the icons for some time now (I thought about using the rainy day set and laughed), I might do that once she does individual icon-pics of the trigger kids? anyways I've been meaning to translate i7 academy or pythagoras trio rabbit chats but I've been.... so lazy..... so here is a chat where I don't have to code for dialogue branches LOL
2. with that said I've been sitting on a lvl40 100% bonded R ten card ever since I drew him through FP auditioning and tbh his rabbit chats are [me looking at the camera like I'm on the office]. ANYWAYS TIME FOR ACTUAL TRANSLATION NOTES AND NOT ME RAMBLING,
3. tsumugi speaks obviously very formally when introducing herself, her first line is something that I kind of read more like "this would be our first time speaking via chat", but that sounds awkward coming after "kujo-san" so I changed the wording a bit. also while in english tsumugi and ten introduce themselves the same way I'll note that tsumugi uses a much more formal and drawn out way (the lit. translation is probs more like "I am called Takanashi Tsumugi" BUT tbh if you say that in english I think you just look full of yourself) than ten's "kujou ten desu"
4. I don't think you see talent used to refer to people v. often in english but it's used pretty frequently in japanese to refer to people who are stars or otherwise known for their personality/talent. in this case ten is referring to the i7 kids when he says talent!
5. ten conjugates his second "don't have to be tense" slightly more informally the second time and I looked at my phone and thought "what if I translated it as 'you don't hafta be tense'". anyways the joke is mostly that ten is like don't be so tense and tsumugi responds very tensely (why does she stutter so often via text, these are the important questions), and so ten is like what did I just say
6. ten refers to sousuke (is that his name??? I can never remember) and gaku as "yaotome-papa and junior" in that order, and, like, as oddly endearing as that is, I think that "Jr. and Sr." flows a bit better in eng context
7. [iori voice] first of all that person is a much larger brocon than me
