1. the word tamaki uses to refer to the host for his birthday party is "主催" and as I was looking up compounds that began with 主 I came across 'sovereign' and it looks Very Similar to 主催 and so I was like Whoa There Tamaki but it turns out the word he used was actually better because it can mean "sponsor"

2. I'm actually rly emotional over everyone agreeing it should be sougo who plans tamaki's birthday and/or that implying that sougo silently asserted that he should be the one who plans tamaki's birthday party

3. how do you translate "important ceremonial occasions in family relationships" into english

5. tamaki refers to sougo very affectionately as an 石頭 which literally means 'stone head' but generally means 'inflexible person' so I went to great endeavors and I hope everyone approves of 'tightwad' as my translation of choice here
6. iirc when the group ordered sushi tamaki called dibs on all of the roe, so that's probably why tsumugi mentions the ikura!
7. sometimes I feel like tsumugi has a very lowkey resentment of tamaki and it sometimes slips through when she talks to him
