I couldn't meet his dad, but I met his mom! She was so pretty and young that I almost couldn't call her an auntie!

That guy, he was one of my classmates at the lesson hall I went to a long time ago.
【MITSUKI】： I was never really that close with the guy at the time, but he went and said something lightly and sarcastically.
【MITSUKI】： Yamato-san got angry when he heard it, so I was trying to calm him down.

【MITSUKI】： When you're blessed with members it sure is nice that you can sell well even though you can't dance.

1. about the title: in jpn it's MTK強化月間; mtk is a way of abbreviating mitsuki's name by syllables (Mi/Tsu/Ki), 強化 means "to enhance" or "strengthen", and 月間 just means 'during or for a month', basically. so tl;dr it's Mitsuki Party Month
2. I talked about this a bit on twitter (I talk about a lot on twitter) (and a lot of it was regarding this chat), but please take a moment to consider these two facts:
a) "mostly everything mitsuki is asking is for the other person's sake"
b) his request for iori was "call me onii-chan"

3. a harisen is a paper fan! since mitsuki made it, it Better Frickin Be Cute
also mitsuki says that he's making sougo tsukkomi whoever he points his finger at which is Pretty Wild and even wilder to translate, so I made it a bit more literal, but what's literally happening is mitsuki is trying to train sougo to be a tsukkomi
4. how do I talk about buddhist practices in english
5. after mitsuki says that sougo's tsukkomi is more like a buddhist monk (because he bows his head and apologises after smacking someone w/ the fan), tsumugi says it's the "喝!" thing, which is apparently an "exclamation used to shout practitioners in zen"
6. Ok, So, in jpn usually it's polite to refer to other peoples' parents as ojisan/obasan (uncle/aunt or older man/older woman), so in this case mitsuki is saying he could not meet ojisan but he did meet obasan and it's implied and fairly conclusive that he's talking about riku's dad and riku's mom (I'm squinting at the wow I didn't meet his dad stipulation tho), and then he goes on to say that riku's mom is so gorgeous that he couldn't call her an obasan (older woman)
so yea
that's a thing
7. pls go back to t/n 2 and consider also: mitsuki asking to meet yamato's family in point b)
8. I'm sure there is something to be said for paralleling mitsuki's and yamato's experiences with their 知り合いs (yamato's would be from pythagoras' unit chats)
9. this is only marginally related but have you ever thought about mitsuki's presence being the thing that tied iori to idolish7 at first, and the thing that invested iori in i7's success? nobody really likes to talk about the izumi bros scouting situation much bc it feels kind of unfair/uneven, like mitsuki only got added in because iori made an ultimatum, and so mitsuki is only in i7 thanks to iori, but? if you think about it, it's the same for iori; iori's only in i7 because of mitsuki. idk there's probably a lot to be said about the way that branches out but it's kind of interesting how you can flip it like that and the way the situation sounds when it's phrased in those sorts of terms

10. I hate nagi oh my GOD (I don't hate him but) I was so nervous like Did Something Happen To Mitsuki, Was Something Bad Happening To Mitsuki, Why Did He Stop Responding, Oh My God It's Nagi, Did Nagi Have To Intervene Because Something Bad Was Happening With Mitsuki,
