【IORI】: There's a great deal of difficult things about life in the dorms, but I'm still enjoying living in a group to its own extent.

【TSUMUGI】: Iori-san, I'm sorry to bother you while you're studying!
There are plans to carry out a maintenance at the dorms, but, is there anything that's been concerning you?

【IORI】: There are times when the shower in the bathroom will suddenly get hot or cold.
If you could have it inspected, that would be helpful.

【TSUMUGI】: Thank you very much!
Is your room alright, Iori-san? If I remember correctly, it's the corner room next to Riku-san's, right.

【IORI】: That's right.
There aren't any problems in particular with the room, but it seems that some birds have built their nest in the window.

【TSUMUGI】: Is that so!
It'd be best to do something about that, wouldn't it...

【IORI】: As such, please take care to not disturb it.

【TSUMUGI】: But, it's already grown cold, so I think the birds have already left the nest!

【IORI】: What will you do if it just so happens that they come back.

If we were to return home from a tour, and found that this dorm was gone, that would be a problem, wouldn't it.

【TSUMUGI】: Understood!
Iori-san, you're very kind to animals!

【IORI】: That's not exactly the case.
However, when they come to my room next time, I will show you.

【TSUMUGI】: Thank you very much!
[1]: Are you cleaning your room?
[2]: How were the room assignments decided?
[3]: What sort of room were you living in previously?

【TSUMUGI】: Are you cleaning your room?

【IORI】: I am.
Or rather, I have never left my room in disarray before.
【IORI】: Just how exactly a room can be the way Yotsuba-san's is itself an inherent question of mine.
【IORI】: There's a great deal of difficult things about life in the dorms, but I'm still enjoying living in a group to its own extent.

【TSUMUGI】: It's good to hear you say that!
How is the status of Tamaki-san's supplementary lessons?

【IORI】: I've used pudding as bait and gotten him to work harder.
【IORI】: I've threatened him so that if he becomes my underclassman, whenever he eats pudding in front of me, I will strike it out of his hands.

【TSUMUGI】: Th, that would be overwhelmingly effective, wouldn't it!
Iori-san, thank you very much. You really are very kind.

【IORI】: That's incorrect.
It's simply that I've grown accustomed to seeing his face in the same class as mine.
【IORI】: If it were to go missing next year, I believe I'd feel something amiss, that's all.

【TSUMUGI】: How were the room assignments decided?

【IORI】: Nanase-san will frequently cough at night, and so he said that he wanted a corner room in order to not cause a burden.
【IORI】: However, this room has a surprising amount of breeze that comes through the cracks.
【IORI】: That's why, myself, Nanase-san, Nii-san, ... is the lineup we decided on.

【IORI】: Our home was a separated house, so the second floor has my and Nii-san's rooms.
The size is about the same.
【IORI】: While we're at home, I didn't go back and forth between Nii-san's room frequently, but now we've begun to carefreely go back and forth.

t/n:

1. the phrasing that iori uses to refer to the bird's nest is "take care to not destroy it" /break/ruin/壊す, but I figured 'disturb' would look more natural in the context¿ in either case, I thought I'd make a note to say that iori is like Please Do Not Break The Nest ):<

2. idk how it looks to y'all but the way it looks to me is that iori is totally hoping that the birds will come back in the spring, how lonely is this child Even

3. it's been a while since I've complained about sentence endings and general tone so *complains loudly about sentence endings and general tone being difficult to translate exactly into english*

I could probably write three paragraphs of unnecessarily tl;dr t/l notes every time iori ends a sentence w/ ね vs. when he ends w/ よ

4. iori doesn't specify whether he's talking about the birds coming to his room or tsumugi coming to his room and I'm not sure which it is but if he's talking about the birds then he's pretty much speaking as if he's working with the assumption that the birds Will Come Back, and if he's talking about tsumugi then??? Why

so I translated it as if he's talking about the birds but it's not specified in japanese!

5. fun trivia fact but iori talks about the izumi residence in the present tense consistently (so he says like "our rooms are on the second floor"), whereas mitsuki talked about the izumi residence in the past tense iirc! (so saying "our rooms were on the second floor" instead)

idk if it's significant or not but I figured I'd make a note!

6. just when I thought I was free of having to write the word supplementary lessons

7. what the Heck

8. I swear to god if iori's concern about the shower can also be twisted into somehow him being concerned about riku's health then I Will

9. I'm so tired and iori uses so many strange grammar patterns
