【IORI】: The next time he blows it off, I will splash the water on his face.

【TSUMUGI】: Thank you for all of your hard work on the filming for the variety academy minidrama, "I7 Academy"!
Episode 1's script was very amusing. Your role of the student council president was a perfect fit, Iori-san.

【IORI】: Thank you very much.
【IORI】: I don't particularly care either way, but setting aside the fact that Yotsuba-san and I are playing classmates, Nanase-san is older, so why is it that he's playing the underclassman transfer student?

【TSUMUGI】: W, well, it's very common for part distributions and actual ages to be different in the world of drama!

The scene of your encounter with Riku-san had a sense of realism and was very wonderful!

【IORI】: That would be the scene of the day he first transferred, then.
Nanase-san had been running towards the school gates while carrying bread in his mouth when he collided with me, that was the setting of that hackneyed cliche.........

【TSUMUGI】: It was cliched, but I think it was good!

【IORI】: Really.

【TSUMUGI】: I'm hearing that the next episode will have a club activities scene, so I'm looking forward to the upcoming developments!

Since it's fundamentally a comedy, hearing all of the various adlibs from everybody had me smiling even as I watched!

【IORI】: Well, being called "senpai" by Nanase-san wasn't a particularly bad feeling.
I was just talking about that with Yotsuba-san.

【TSUMUGI】: Were you currently together with Yotsuba-san?

【IORI】: In the "an angry Yotsuba-san throws a glass of water on me" scene, he was kind enough to blow it off and produce an NG in all ten takes, so I was in the middle of giving him a light lecture.
The next time he blows it off, I will splash the water on his face.

【TSUMUGI】: I, is that so. Please don't catch a cold.

【IORI】: That person's boiling point when it comes to laughter is far too low.
As his manager, I would like for you to please train him.

【TSUMUGI】: How should I train him...........
I understand! I'll start practicing how to make strange faces!

【IORI】: Please stop. You're a girl, after all..........

t/n:

1. me translating this chat: stops every five seconds to bob my head back and forth to mongen

2. I can't believe they put the stereotypical "heroine is late for school and running with bread in their mouth" scene in this drama but more importantly I can't believe riku was running late for his very first day of school (it doesn't actually say he was running late, tho)

3. iori's favorite phrase to use in these sorts of chats (ones where he's objecting to something embarrassing, usually) is "haa" and every time he uses it I'm like stop sighing at me!! you're seventeen!!

4. "why do you translate kouhai as underclassman but leave senpai in" I don't actually know (because in the senpai case, it's being used similarly to an honorific — riku calls iori and tamaki with -senpai attached to their names, so it'd be weird to write "being called upperclassman" or "iori-upperclassman!"

so

5. tsumugi calls tamaki by his surname?? puts a [sic] in the text and squints at it

6. iori being like "please don't make strange faces you're a girl" is like child what were you even thinking

what am I even thinking

7. the title of this chat is seito kaichou iori but his stuco pres status is only mentioned once
