leopardeyesmy welcome post needs to be revamped AGAIN (constantly) but in the meantime I've gone through and remastered my faq so it is 100% less interesting and 40% more useful!

Ｑ： what is a rabbit chat?
rabbit chats are the card-specific side stories found in idolish seven! each card comes with its own set of (usually five) unique rabbit chats, and oftentimes the chats are interrelated across cards found in the same set.
on a more technical note, in the context of the idolish seven universe, rabbit chatting seems to be a very widespread form of social media, similar to LINE or whatsapp!
please note that since this is technically modeled off of IMing, the fact that in my translations every character uses proper capitalization and stuff is a liberty I've taken on my part. there aren't any capital letters in japanese so it's... tough to tell what the rough equivalent would be.....
I've considered having characters like tamaki and yamato send messages in all lowercases, though!

because I'm an old lady and tumblr updates itself too often
mostly I'm here for the cuts and the html coding capabilities! originally I wanted to post content on tumblr since I know that's by far the most accessible platform, but tumblr... doesn't really do what I want it to do with regards to how I want to translate rabbit chats.
I know that dreamwidth is really not convenient and updating on twitter is really not an ideal system for most people, but please bear with me...!!
Ｑ： how often do you update?
generally speaking I post translations as soon as they're finished! I try to update at least once a day, but...... well, obviously sometimes that doesn't work out.
it can take me anywhere from half an hour to half a day to translate something, so I tend to update at very inconsistent hours and any semblance of an update schedule is.... pretty much nonexistent.
Ｑ： usage policies?
in general I am a-ok with people using my translations as long as they're not being used for profit or harm! there is generally no need to check with me first (in fact I recommend you do not ask me because it will take me any where from 3-16 business days to respond probably and by then we will both feel awful) & as long as you don't try to pass my work off as your own, credit can be as minimal as you see aesthetically fit.
Ｑ： where did you get the kinako/pudding stamps?
I cropped them myself from screenshots I took of the game! hence why if you squint, you can kind of see a bit of a pink border (from the background of the rabbit chat) around some of them.....
I don't mind if people want to use the 90x90 low-resolution versions that I use in my translations for whatever reasons! no credit is necessary, literally I just magic wand'd them in photoshop to make them transparent LOL

first of all ahhhhhh you're too kind, second of all it feels really strange for me to say that to a question (that's not even phrased like a question) that I asked myself. anyways!
please do not offer to send me screenshots/ask if I want screenshots/etc.! the offers are incredibly sweet but I will almost always turn them down.
it is very kind of people to offer but the last time I took screenshots I wound up not using any of them because by the time I got around to translating the chats in question, I had already managed to draw the cards via renewal gacha/etc. and it so was a large waste of time for pretty much everyone involved and I still feel absolutely awful about that.
so for now I've adopted the policy of pretty much only asking for screenshots when I have plans to translate those specific chats within the next few weeks/as soon as possible. thank you for your understanding!

absolutely!
it's not at all my intention to hold a monopoly for being The One Source For Rabbit Chat Translations, (and at first my intention wasn't even to translate -all- of the rabbit chats in the first place but suddenly I'm 300+ chats deep) so there is 100% no need to ask me before posting your own translations of any given chat, whether it's one that I've translated or one that I haven't!! first of all it definitely isn't my place to tell other people what to do or not do, second of all I am ultimately an amateur and also in no place to attempt to be an official (or even pseudo-official) source! so if there's a chat where you'd really like to post your own translation, please don't hold back on account of not wanting to step on my toes or infringe on my territory!
(I say 'territory' but it's like, this is land staked out solely by my tears and salt water kills crops)
— so, I absolutely support people posting their own rabbit chat translations!
but with that said, since I try to actively avoid reading other translations (in my personal experience, I... don't translate well if I've already looked at other peoples' work!), I don't really take whether or not someone else has already translated something into account when it comes to my decisions to post translations. it's mostly because I'm a completionist by nature and so skipping chats will give me multiple stress ulcers, but also because I don't want to feel like translating is a first-come, first-serve deal.

(my heart says mitsuki but my sidebar says sougo)
sougo and mitsuki are my top two and ten is my fave from trigger! the others are a mixed jumble of places that switch around depending on which chats I've been translating recently LOL

PLEASE TELL ME......... contacting me via twitter is probably the fastest and most convenient way to get a hold of me! if you ever find any errors (whether it's something strangely translated, a typo or dislocation in the word order, or me accidentally coding it so that every line is said by tsumugi) (all of these are things that I have done), please let me know! I try to be open to corrections, and I really do appreciate it when people catch things that slip past me. ok, they suck and that's a given, but I do want my translations to be as accurate and enjoyable as possible, nonetheless!

I have two twitters for translations: one for Actual Updates (@_amphy) and one for Pointless Rambling (@kaisekis). I have it set so anyone can DM me on amphy, but I do check kaisekis more often so keep that in mind! I also have a personal twitter but it's really not that hard to find.
I also crosspost my translations to tumblr (@davichie) when I remember, so if you'd rather use tumblr then that's also an option! however please note that davichie is a sideblog because I Lack Foresight
"why do you have two twitters" I try to keep amphy limited to Only Translation Updates + Game Updates (I translate & retweet information from the official twiter and translate screenshots from ingame notices) to avoid spamming people, whereas kaisekis is where I put all of my spam. All of it. leopardeyes@dw after dark. observe at your own risk. I call it my livetweeting account but really the only thing I livetweet is my thought process when it comes to this game!

don't quote me on this but from what I've gathered, -推し as a suffix is generally used to say that you're a fan of whatever it is you're suffixing! like, the literal translation is "supporter", I think, but you see it a lot where people will put their fave's name and then -推し (so mezzo"推し, in this case) to express their support.
