It surprised me! During my fight scene with Sogo-san, he suddenly lost his temper.
【RIKU】： He said, "I don't want the two of you to not get along!"
【TSUMUGI】： Since today's scene especially was one where Sogo-san was picking on you, Riku-san, it's possible that simply by watching it, he was beginning to feel stressed......
【TSUMUGI】： Even though Tamaki-san is quick to start fights, he's not good with other people fighting, after all.

【RIKU】： I joined hands with Sogo-san and spun around and around while appealing our friendship, and at some point, the atmosphere was calmed and his mood improved.

It was fun, like I got to be the uta no onii-san!
【TSUMUGI】： What sort of relationship do you and Tamaki-san normally have?

The only ones who I can act like an older brother towards are Iori or Tamaki, right?
【RIKU】： But, Iori is more well-put together than me, so I tend to devote myself to acting like Tamaki's older brother!
Also, sometimes I have him take things down from high places for me.

1. I've come to notice that riku quotes people a lot and every time I'm never quite sure how to translate it properly, since japanese has convenient quoting particles and context implications built in where english definitely does not....
2. tsumugi literally says "uu"
3. okay so "uta no onii-san" is something that at first, I thought maybe it was like a metaphor, like a big brother who sings would obviously be jolly and thus capable of cheering up tamaki when he was stressed over souchan and rikkun fighting, and was just one of those japanese turns of phrases that I squint at every time I see them. then I thought maybe he was actually referring to ten, seeing as ten would be an older brother who also sings and did a lot of stuff to take care of riku.
then I googled "uta no onii-san" and found out that it was actually a drama....... which I know next to nothing about, but I'm guessing that's what riku was referring to, which is why I left it in romaji.
4. sometimes I forget that riku is actually also short? like..... he and ten are the same height, and ten gets dwarfed by gaku and ryuu (why do they have gaku and ryuu also wear high heels? why don't they just put ten in heels. put him in stilts), but.... the other kids in idolish7 are all pretty short or average height, and plus they have mitsuki "look iori I grew 0.3 millimeters today" izumi for contrast, so.... I always envision riku as being tall, but actually he is short.
that and tamaki is just really tall
5. the "devotion" word is kinda tricky, I might revisit it when I'm a bit less tired, but I think the implication is meant to be that since out of the two people riku can treat as little brothers, one of them is Level-Headed And Cool, so if anything he puts twice as much Oniichan Power into treating tamaki like his little brother, rather than the half as much power that he'd be using if he treated both of them like his younger brothers.
