I'd heard about this from Gaku-san.
【TSUMUGI】： When you were talking about my dark history, or rather the time I'd failed terribly, Kujo-san, you said that you'd come to view me in a better light....
【TSUMUGI】： I'm afraid I don't quite understand what that means......
【TSUMUGI】： But, since I feel like there must be some sort of important meaning to it, I wanted to ask you about it, Kujo-san.
【TENN】： Around when IDOLiSH7 first debuted, they had a terrible live performance, right.
【TSUMUGI】： That's correct.......
【TENN】： That's why.
If it's someone who's experienced failure, I feel like they're more credible.
【TENN】： People tend to call their own failures their dark history, but that's not how it is.
【TENN】： It's proof that you didn't try to run away, and proof that you gathered your courage and continued to fight without fearing failure.
【TENN】： Success by itself is easy.
A person's worth is measured by whether or not they can stand back up after a mistake.
【TENN】： I've seen countless people who've lost their confidence because of one mistake or failure, become disappointed in themselves, and then given up on their dreams while smiling and deceiving themselves.
【TENN】： But, even though you've failed, you've continued this work.
【TENN】： I realized that you were a kid who had courage and resolve.

1. regarding the title, I think that "the way tenn feels" probs would have been a less suggestive title because Feelings makes it look like ~*~*~feelings~*~~* when really what I think the title is trying to convey is, this is the way that ten thinks.
2. I don't remember anything about this ever coming up in gaku's rabbit chats but then again it's possible I might have missed it and will notice it when I finally translate parts 3 & 4 (I'm sure it's not in part 4 tho), so unfortunately all of the clarity I can afford is from reading this chat
3. ok so tsumugi (and ten later in the chat) both refer to her "dark history" -- it's slang for like "something that you want to pretend never happened or don't want to admit exists", so I think it's important to keep that context in mind whenever they mention dark history! there is... probably a better term to be used rather than 'dark history', but I couldn't think of anything so I've left it like that for now...
4. rather than "properly showing itself", ten said that tsumugi's courage is "taking on a shape" -- I.... don't think that's the kind of phrasing that you see very often in english, so I changed it around, but the general implication is that her courage is manifesting as something obvious, I guess?
5. I'M SO TIREd but usually when tenn is referring to gaku he'll say "that guy", whereas when he's referring to riku he'll say "that kid" -- in this case, I'm pretty sure.... he's saying that riku is the kid who will get mad at him for making tsumugi cry.... either way, ten, please stop shipping tsumugi with the people around you,
6. on a marginally related note ten is so frighteningly nice to tsumugi...... I'm pretty sure that the awful live that ten is talking about was probably at music festival when iori forgot to sing and riku was having a spasm so he couldn't sing his part properly, and everybody except yamato and nagi spontaneously forgot how to dance and smile? technically that was before idolish7 debuted, but. if it's that performance, then it's the same performance that ten made yamato (and mitsuki and iori? I think they were there too) do seiza for LOL
